Do you guys agree that generally the dc movies seem to be a little underrated whereas the marvel movies seem to be a bit overrated?

Er, not necessarily. I think Marvel movies generally are better than DC movies. Even the ratings show that as a fact. I probably like the characters and comic stories from DC better, but the movies just aren't as good as Marvel. MCU does a good job, while DCEU does an okay job.

DC came first and started doing it better.

Donner's Superman and Burton's Batman set the movie superhero industry into motion, and Marvel's first few attempts cannot compare, tbh. Even then the MCU is a gambled mess of concepts and it's tonally all over the place. As of Wonder Woman onwards, the DCEU has gained confidence and they're doing a much better job at adapting the characters properly, which is what something that wants to get people to know about the comic book characters should do. A kid watches Wonder Woman and then they read the comics, she's no different there. A kid watches GotG and reads Drax's comics, and MCU Drax couldn't be a more separate entity. That's a terrible way to do things, you just end up confusing both audiences, minus the MCU-only crowd. The DCEU's giving the comics more popularity, whereas the MCU is slowly killing Marvel's comic book industry, you tell me which one is doing a better job based on these facts...

On the subject of animated movies, DC wins by a mile and it's not even a competition, even now where the quality isn't as good as it used to be.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I suppose it's worth asking, but are you asking about DC and Marvel movies in general, Vegito? Or just the DCEU and MCU movies?

My Dear Melancholy,

Have to disagree with Darker since DECU made Barry Allen Wally West.

In some areas, yes I do believe marvel movies can be overrated (Logan in particular in my opinion).

DC ain’t underrated though imo. When WB actually make a great movie, they get praised, when they don’t, they get blasted. For now, I’m regard to the DCEU, the majority of movies have sucked for me (with the exception of Wonder Woman and maybe Man of Steel)

Forgot about that.

Yeah, he's a bit of an exception. He's a little quirkier and dorkier than Wally, too. Could be the age difference.
