kid goku from beginning of db gets somehow teleported to mars.since kid goku will eventually run out of breath can he destroy the rover in time or can the rover destroy him.
btw the mars rover can actually shoot lasers.
and the only way for goku to return to earth is by destroying the rover

Wait, what's the gravity on Mars?
Depending on how this goes, he may leap over to the rover, only to fly off way too far because he's not used to the gravity.
Mars gravity is 3x less that off earth.i don't think he would fly off too far to the point he won't see the rover anymore...

Doesn't have to be that far, but time he's getting used to the gravity it time not spent on fighting the rover. So there is a very real likelyhood he'd suffocate before he could actually get to it in time. If nothing else it is an advantage to the rover that Goku will need to adapt to the lighter gravity.

you are right, but lets just say he got used to the gravity before coming to mars here

The mars rover in real life has massive delay between actions inputted and when it actually receives them and does them. Even if you give the Mars Rover a laser like that, the crew manning the thing from a space station is running on like a five minute delay from what it sees and what the crew sees.

give? The mars rover actually has that laser in REAL LIFE...
and iirc the mars rover can fire a laser on its own now without any crew.

I’m pretty sure vaporize in this context means a few millimeters of dirt and not a death ray

but shouldn't this be enough to harm goku or slow him down since he is already affected by the cold...

The mars rover still needs to analyze the composition of these things to decide if it should use the ray on it, from the source itself.

Quote:

ChemCam sits atop Curiosity's head-like mast. The instrument can investigate the composition of a target that is up to 23 feet (7 meters) away from the rover.

It both needs time to investigate the composition of its target (and unless the scientists programmed it to shoot humans I doubt it'll fire automatically at Goku). And also be able to focus itself on its target, Goku is a moving target who moves fairly quick. There's no way that laser can stay on Goku longer than a second if that. Especially considering Goku's body is a bit more durable than most. It's able to take a hit better than a lot of ballistics gel can.
