I don't know how strong Kirito is, but Guts does get a whole lot stronger. His Berserk armor enhances his strength and makes him unable to feel pain IIRC. At one point he was able to crush stone pillars with ease by his sword when he was against Serpico.

Google Chrome	Has Gattsu gotten a lot faster recently? So far as I can tell Kirito is a lot, lot more swift. Though he'll end up getting caught eventually. GGO Avatar might do better with the lightsaber though, and I've heard that Kirito gets some crazy stuff later on.
