Odd genre mash ups

So, I'll say right now, one of my favorite games I ever played was a game called Invisible inc. It was a grid based turn taking game about going into various coperate fortresses and doing spy stuff, stealing information, getting people out, and it was a stealth game. That's fairly rare, a turn based stealth game, and X-Com 2 would later play around with the idea as well.

I found Invisible inc. In particularly incredibly refreshing and an interesting take on the stealth genre I liked, and it took a lot of what makes turn based gameplay so fun as well, I found it all really cool and eventually it got me to wonder, what genre mash ups have you seen that are really good? Any you'd like to see?

I suppose Puggsy could fit the description. It's an old puzzle platformer on the Mega Drive. It actually made use of a prototype Havoc physics engine that would eventually be adapted for use in games such as Half Life.

Echo the Dolphin is another weird one. Again it's a puzzle platformer for the Mega Drive but you play as a dolphin trying to rescue his pod from aliens. It's a good concept but it's really flippin' hard.

You should check out Bedlam. A FPS with several layers to it.

Granted it's pretty low hanging fruit, but Fortnite is fairly weird in regards to genre mix ups. Of course probably not weird anymore due to its sheer popularity, but minecraft and battle royale isn't precisely the first thing I think of when I think of mixing two genres.

TF2 being such a cartoony FPS, I suppose.

It's an odd mash-up but it works.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.
