So many aspects come into play when it comes to our moral compasses. Cultural differences, ways we're raised and our own personal experiences and beliefs all end up dictating the way we perceive right and wrong as well as any other contrasting pair of concepts such as fair and unfair, beautiful and ugly, good and evil, funny and unfunny -- the list is endless, but it's how you continuously position yourself within these concepts and how you deal with them throughout your life that largely ends up defining you as a person.

As a general rule I like to apply the "as long as it's not hurting anybody else" mentality to most things in life about my personal conduct, and over the years I've definitely found that to be the most reliable method there tends to be.

That's basically the same as my philosophy. Hurting/upsetting people/animals = wrong. That's why I don't understand when people get upset by nudity or bad language. Your face isn't going to melt off just because you saw a woman's breasts. I can understand feeling repulsed by the site or sound of such things but to actually be emotionally triggered? It's difficult for me to comprehend that one.

And then there's of course many people who are triggered by what used to be regarded in the western world as "sexual deviance." The very idea that people of the same gender can have sex with each other or even straight people using a sexual position that isn't missionary seems to really bother some people. And its like... why?

Much like Strawberry said. The definition for me is a simple question that is asked in everything we do.
Will what you do take happiness from someone else? If the answer is yes, the act is wrong in some manner. If the answer is no, then the act is right. If the answer is that it is promoting happiness in someone else, then the act is seen as beneficial and right.

This can be applied to everything. As humans, we sometimes forget to ask the question before taking action. This causes issues within our lives or the lives of others. If we all stopped to ask this question the world would be a better place. Though it's impractical sometimes.

A good example is when I called King Gattsu a name the other day. I wasn't thinking about how it might affect his happiness and in return caused drama. Cause and effect took places and the only right thing to do was say that I was wrong.

I, on the other hand, think there's nothing wrong with a bit of name calling as long as it's not all the time. Thick skin is a good quality.

You base it off facts, things that are proven to be true. Anything else is only an opinion.

I base it a lot on how I would feel if it were done to me. Would I feel good if I were stabbed and bled to death? No, I mean some might, and those people are weird.

Would I feel good if someone stole something of mine? No I would be pissed.

It's not really difficult tbh.

Nothing wrong if you know how the person will react. For instance I was assuming Gattsu would react in a different manner than he did. The situation changes if you know these things. Otherwise there is something wrong with name calling without knowledge.
