Sorry if politics topics like this one aren't allowed here, but I am still interested to know whether you guys support the current president of US. Besides, do you think he is, so far, doing well as a president?

Politics threads are not discouraged but due to the atrong feelings that often get discussed, they are watched carefully to keep things from getting out of hand.

But to anseer your question, no, I do not. Not before and not now. I was more in with Bernie Sanders personally.

Quite frankly, I give everyone here the right to call Trump an idiot if they feel like it. The reason I say this isn't because Trump is a terrible President, it's because he's a terrible person. Some people simply aren't up to being the President, but they're still relatively decent people. Take Ulysses S. Grant for example. He was not considered the best of Presidents but he was still admired for his other works and he still tried to hold the position he had with a sense of honor.

I'd say the same things for other people like GW Bush. Hardly qualified as a good President but he was nowhere near the kind of terrible person Trump is. Maybe as a Moderator I shoudn't say this, but when you have a guy calling Mexicans "Rapists", calling places in Africa "s***holes" and being an absolutely vile person. I have no desire to be polite and I'm not going to hold it against anyone here who does otherwise too.

I don't support Trump. I am not a fan of his policies and even on those issues he has yet to keep his word.

Personality-wise he's a pompous elitist stuck-up a*****. Thinks he's the best thing that has happened to USA when in reality he's probably one of the worst things. But his supporters are worse (for the most part).

Interesting opinions, guys. I was told Trump was voted, mostly, by the people of a region/land of United States whose population had no instruction and weren't well educated. A land that most foreigners avoid going when traveling to USA.

Well he'd received over 60 million votes so I doubt that's the dominant demographic.

No support for him here. The last election was very interesting though. I noticed that the people who voted for him feel more strongly about keeping Hillary down than actually caring for Trump. Their voice raises when she is talked about and the first thing out of their mouth is a mix of name calling and some fake news that Russia and CambridgeA. ran towards them on Facebook. Their reaction is that of a person who was hurt by an ex girlfriend, where they refuse to say that persons real first name and use projection tactics to talk s*** about her.

Funny enough this is about the same thing I see at my home either, it's not actually voting for him, but against Hillary.

And as for my personal thoughts... He's proof that America has deep seated problems relating to it's own nationalism. I mean we have plenty but he's another on the pile. He's by far one of the worse presidents we've had in a while, and I suppose we're lucky we do not have an extremely large issues that need addressing from a man who clearly has little to no care for the job, only really desiring the title. To be honest, if he's a sign of things to come, perhaps it's not such a terrible thing if the USA's power of the world weakens and breaks. He's also a sign of growing authoritarianism within the USA, which is not something I'm a fan of, but again, ultimately he's a symptom of the sickness America has, not the cause. Hell it's made me reexamine a lot about our nation and even my own friends and family to ask why they would willingly support a man (and plan to do so again), especially when all this is happening. I will say the election has put me firmly in the very far left now that I realize how low the republicans can sink for this.

I'm going to be honest and say I haven't really been paying attention to the news or politics lately. But I did vote for him and was supporting him through most of what he was doing when I was paying attention. He turned out a better president than I initially thought he would tbh.

Nah I don't, I think that he should be impeached because all he is doing is stirring things up and making the world angry. If he keeps up his ways and they keep him up there, that might spark a new World War.

Impeaching someone purely on the basis that you don't like them or their attitude would set a dangerous precedent, and could easily turn around and bite you.

And yeah he does get petty and say stupid s*** on often, but he's not alone. The entire media & Hollywood has gone completely nutso themselves.

Bill Clinton was charged with impeachment for sexual harassment and two other articles, one involving abuse of power. If Clinton can get called for impeachment on those grounds, Donald Trump can and will definitely be impeached if it happens.
