Windows suits my needs more than the others. If I was a designer of some kind then I'd probably prefer to use Apple. As for Linux, I've never understood the point of that operating system. |

I've always been Windows. I see no point in changing that. And for web design, Windows works just fine. |

I've only ever used Windows for desktops and laptops and I've always been happy with it. Mainly because it's what I'm used to and not because I think it's superior (I don't have enough knowledge to know whether it is or not). |

I hate Apple. More due to the background and corruptness of their history and origin. I won't lie the Cloud is a beast and they can make next level products. Silicon Valley(Windows) is a sell out and over rated. XP was great 7, vista, 2000, 8,8.1 s***. 10 I like, I dunno why. Linux I love. Ubuntuu to be precise. Kali Linux is great for someone who wants to dabble their nose into something naughty. |

Windows is great for just generally getting around and being compatible with almost everything. OSX just pisses me off. It's Unix sitting on top of a pretty wrapper. The only thing i'd consider using it for is digital art. Apple seems to be in bed with some of the top digital art companies. Linux is great if you're needing to program something. The environment is centered around coding. |

It depends what you're coding though right? I can't imagine its any good for game design. Not when so much of the code needs to be linked with graphics programmes and sound editing software. |

Linux contains so many sub-os's that you can do almost anything on the context of programming. |

But when you're coding for a game you need to apply to the code to software that may not function as well on a Linux operating system. I dunno. Does the Unreal engine work well on Linux? Or Blender? |

Apart from using Ubuntu a handful of times, I've only used Windows. XP was mostly great and 7 was even better in my experience, but Windows 10 gets on my nerves sometimes, since it has a lot of extra programs that I don't need that are a pain to disable and Windows Defender can get in the way occasionally, whereas with Security Essentials on 7 I never felt the need to temporarily disable it. I still prefer the old Task Manager, although the new one does make more options easily accessible. I'd only get a Mac maybe for design stuff as mentioned or for anything relating to music or film production (Garageband is supposed to be a really easy to use and effective for recording sound). Mac from what I've read has less software available in general, so is less versatile and for that reason I wouldn't ordinarily be get one. |
