Unfortunately, her name is never mentioned in the story. This is because in Robot Carnival most of the short stories or segments don't have dialogue. And most of these stories are visually narrated. It's more of an art house anthology anime OVA series that was also a starting point for many of the well know anime directors and character designers. So yeah, if you were wondering what her name was then you are at a dead end.
