I'm sort of getting into Dragon Ball debating again and I'm reading up on notions long forgotten, but the Boo saga is extremely confusing to me and I believe the problem lies in the implications of how powerful the base Saiyans are. >_> Either way I want to know what the general consensus on what this f***ing ray of sunshine's strength is. Health is restored between rounds. Base Goku (Namek) 50% Freeza SSJin Goku (Namek) Android 19/20 Piccolo (Android Saga) SSJin Vegeta (Android Saga) Imperfect Cell (Pre Humans) Android #17 Android #16 Semi Perfect Cell Semi Perfect Cell is the strongest opponent I could see him reach, and even then I do believe he's a little lower. There's Gohan saying that Kibito looks like an opponent he could not defeat in base, but later Dabura shafts Kibito's power level (and Piccolo's) in favor of the base Saiyans... so this whole thing is kind of screwy. But that's besides the point. |

Just for clarification's sake, all the Z-fighters were suppressed at the time of Babidi and Dabura's conversation. It's not like everyone was lighting themselves up for the Majin group to pick & choose who gets to be pitted against the minions and who gets to be turned to stone like some bizarre modeling contest. If I'm not mistaken the Daizenshuu also mentions how Kibito is strong enough to give Base Gohan a difficult fight. Without Super being part of the equation I could see Kibito taking #17 before losing to #16. Should the new information from Super get factored in then Base Goku on Namek or Freeza at 50% would be his limit. |

Kibito couldn't lift the Z sword, Base Gohan could... I have him losing to SSJ Namek Goku, but winning the first two rounds. |

Not at all man. As Thiln pointed out there are sources claiming he's on Gohan's level, but I disagree with that notion. In regards to Gohan saying Kibito looks like a tough opponent that he can't drop his guard against, Kibito's energy can't be sensed so I think they are simply being cautious due to that. Not to mention Kibito/Kaioshin came on the scene in an incredibly suspicious/mysterious way that would make you think they're powerful. | |

The Shinjin species seem to prioritise specialist skills like telekinesis, magic and ki manipulation over raw strength. Zamasu was considered to be a phenomenal prodigy who was shrugged off as not being too powerful by Goku yet his paralysis arts were impressive enough to immobilise him and prompt the Saiyan into avoiding contact with it. I feel the same would apply to Kibito. Instead of being like Recoome or Ginyu they share traits akin to Guldo. It would have been interesting to see if Kibito could lift the Z-sword using his telekinses. You could even take it one step further in saying that Shin was SSJ2 tier in terms of ki abilities and magic. |

We have official statements that give us a pretty good idea of Kibito's strength level... first is his D7 bio saying his battle power (i.e. amount of raw ki) is high enough to give base Gohan a good fight, and then Beerus' little revelation from Battle of Gods and Super about base Goku, ~5 years post-Boo, still not yet being a match for Freeza. Put 'em together and you get Kibito's power level being in the tens of thousands, probably above the 50 million mark. So going just by power level he could beat base Namek Goku and then probably 50% Freeza, but would get whomped by anyone higher on the list. Though like Thiln pointed out, the Core-People tend to have more tricks and abilities beyond just power level going for them, so I suppose it's possible that Kibito could find some way to overcome Namek SS Goku and the weak Android pair (who I think started out pretty low, below 100 million), too. I don't see him possibly getting farther up the list than that, though. Edited by Kaboom, Jan 10 2018, 09:07 PM.
