Phew, played this through for so many hours straight just now lol. Went back to Curse-Rotted Greatwood and took him down. Finally beat Aldrich, Devourer of Gods. I'm not sure how many tries it took, somewhere from six to eight. Beat Yhorm the Giant on my first try. Beat Dancer of the Boreal Valley on my third or fourth try. Defeated Oceirous, the Consumed on my first try. Beat Champion Gundyr on my second try. Took down Dragonslayer Armour on my fourth or fifth try. Then I just beat Lorian, Elder Prince and Lothric, Younger Prince on my first try. My plan is to beat the game tomorrow.

I don't know how you do it. I beat Aldrich last night, but it took probably 15 tries again.

Aldrich was pretty horrible. I think she's been the hardest boss for me so far.

In boss battles I'm usually on the defensive for quite a while. I try to analyze the boss' movements patterns. Then I'll go into attack. Even still I'm pretty defensive, I only attack when I'm sure I'm not going to get hit. But it still takes me a few tries.

All right, update for what I've done for today. Defeated Deacons of the Deep on my first try. Beat Pontiff Sulyvahn on first try as well. I'm on Aldrich, the Devourer of Gods and I've battled him four times, but still haven't beaten him. I'm getting on again later tonight, so hopefully I can beat him. My plan is to beat this game by Friday so I can use my free time to play FighterZ. At the pace I'm going, I should be able to.
Aldrich is one I beat first try, I literally just ran at it every time it appeared and...no wait I remember how it went.

I utterly destroyed it but died at the end, like I killed it and then it came up with "YOU DIED" but I still technically won.

I was amazed the game gave me the win...

I didn't even use my sword on it to win, every time I tried to with the sword I got crushed halfway through.

Instead I came up with the tactic of using my Chaos Bed Vestiges pyromancy to destroy it, and allotted half my estus to the ashen estus flask. God, do I love being a pyromancer.

Btw I literally just use a regular Longsword :D it's +5 though.

I just never saw the point in anything aside from short swords and then like one or two of the greatswords.

I liked the one those big knight dudes have, pretty cool. But the amount of extra damage they do just doesn't justify the slow speed to me.

Didn't care for many of the weapons really, I think I was greatly spoiled by Bloodbourne. Hope their next game brings back transformable weapons, that was so damn cool.
Especially transforming them mid combo to do all sorts of crazy stuff.

I don't know how you did so good against Aldrich lol.

All right, so I beat the game this morning. Took down Soul of Cinder on first try, I couldn't believe how easy it was. It was pretty fun though. I then went to take on the Nameless King since he's apparently the strongest boss, but I thought he was easier than the Soul of Cinder. I took him down on my first try too. I guess Ancient Wyvern is technically a boss too, he was super easy. My total game time was about 21 hours.

I started a new journey and wow lol. The game is so much easier. I went without dying until I fought against Crystal Sage. So Iudex Gundyr, Vordt, Abyss Watchers, and Wolnir I beat all on first try. The Abyss Watchers was the only boss out of those that even moved my health bar down at all. Crystal Sage though took me about four or five times this time, definitely easier but still annoying. Heading towards Deacons of the Deep next, haven't gotten there yet.

Edit: This kinda sucks that I'm playing this on my roommate's Xbox One and not my PS4. All of my accomplishments aren't recorded on my own system. So when I do buy it for the PS4, I'll have to start over from scratch. Which kinda sucks.

Another night done.

Took pretty long to get to the last two bosses I just fought. But playing through once it's a lot easier to do. Beat both Deacons of the Deep and Pontiff on first try for both of them again. I didn't think I was going to, but it looks like I'll beat this game twice by Friday. I had a lot of free time on my hands during the weekend and today since classes were canceled due to snow. With the rest of my week being normal and somewhat busy, I should be able to do a couple bosses a day and finish up Thursday or Friday. Just in time for FighterZ. Honestly though, I really like Dark Souls III. Especially on my second journey, it's really a fun game and I look forward to playing Dark Souls remastered.

Y'all are honestly insane to be able to breeze through this game, or I'm just a terrible gamer.

It was either a major fluke or just a brilliant tactic, one which I used in Nioh because you pretty much have to...
That tactic being "JUST FREAKING RUN AT THEM, DESTROY THEM BEFORE THEY DESTROY YOU"

But yeah, check out Nioh. It's perhaps a bit easier but there's so much more variety and it's really fast paced. It's really satisfying to pull off epic combos mixing up the different stances.

Yeah those two are kinda pathetic, I never actually beat the Nameless King because by that point I was pretty bored with the game but I could easily get him down to like a third health before losing concentration. The main thing that made it hard for me was the limited area and keeping the camera on him while paying attention to the ground.

Soul of Cinder was just sad. He had some difficult phases but most of his moves were easy to dodge.

Well, I ended up not having any classes again today. So I played more, I got to Lorian and Lothric. Ugh, it's harder than the first time. I gave up for now, but I probably won't play again until tomorrow.

So what's actually true?

Man, I feel like people may have different ways of playing that they find different bosses harder. My friend laughed when I told him I had trouble with Aldrich and the princes. But at the same time he's had the most trouble with the Dancer. I think the Dancer is so easy. Aldrich sucks but when I finally beat him on my second playthrough I didn't even use a single flask. The princes just straight up suck, even though I beat them on my first try on my first playthrough. I just don't see how he thinks the Dancer is hard though. Lol, one of my other friends took forever trying to beat Wolnir. He couldn't do it so I let him summon me to help him do it. I think Wolnir is the easiest boss.
