Sorbet had made quite a few self-deflective statements or anomalies during his appearance in the franchise (Resurrection 'F' may it be the Dragon Ball Z movie or the Super RoF arc): 1) Him being positioned above Tagoma & Shisami despite being allegedly weaker than them (both were Zarbon-Ddoria tier) - Wasn't the Frieza Army was based upon sheer power? If one was the strongest (Frieza), that's why he was running the show and "paying" his underlings with their lives not being taken by him? Can't see how's this possible if Sorbet was weaker than his 2 top minions. A transformation or an abnormally strong power level would solve this but in Super Tagoma hinted that Sorbet was indeed weaker than him & Shisami - so why do they still follow his orders instead of killing him and usurping (what's left of) the army for their own? 2) After taking the newly revived Frieza's pieces from the Pilaf Gang, Sorbet boast to declare: "Don't worry, we won't kill you, you may turn useful for us when we'll return in the future, this time with lord Frieza and our soldiers" (a heck of the spoiler for the RoF plot, anyway IIRC it was in the DBZ movie & 100% it was stated in DBS) - but when Frieza himself declares he wants to get revenge for his death by an attack at Goku (who defeated Majin Buu) and Earth, Sorbet is amazed Frieza would even consider such a thing. Did he forgot he offered that HIMSELF before Frieza was regenerated? 3) When Tagoma shows a demonstration of his new power with the killing of Shisami and the severally injury of Gohan (both were caught off-guard), Sorbet declares in amazement that his former lackey (no longer subdued to him) have surpassed the "entire Ginyu Force" (which are at best at ~300,000 all together), didn't he knew that the Z-Fighters all surpassed that level of power 17 years ago while fighting Frieza on Namek (see next issue as regarding to that)? 4) When Gohan turns Super Saiyan against Shisami in the film (after the 1000 soldiers were knocked out) and against Tagoma (after about half of the soldiers were knocked out), Sorbet shows great fear & amazement at the transformation as Frieza declares this is a SSJ, but Sorbet claimed that their army placed spy cameras at or near Earth to follow up the adventures of the Z-Warriors and thus obtaining the intelligence he gathered on "all sort of foes" (Androids, Cell) and the Majin Buu conflict? Every Saiyan since Mecha-Frieza & King Cold's death to live on Earth was going SSJ back and forth, how could he missed that? |

Freeza ruled through fear, Sorbet tried something different, I assume he was the smartest and most capable of leadership and just because Tagoma and Shisami are strong, doesn't mean they crave more power or would want to try to organise the mess of Freeza's empire. |

Maybe he's just a quite melancholic soul. |
