Why didn't funimation skip the first two sagas?

Funimation didn't release the first 16 episodes of GT until the second time the show aired.

So we know they're allowed to skip episodes but why didn't they do the same for Super? They could've skipped the RF saga. That would've been nice

Why not just get it over with. They're done now and it didn't take a long time. The first two sagas really weren't that bad, they're short and the only downside is that they're very similar to the movies. Idk, it doesn't matter I don't think.

It was about 30 episodes meaning 30 weeks. That's a long time. They could've at least cut that in half. We would've been in the goku black saga by now

How could they not animate the two greatest arcs in franchise history?

I agree, could have focused more on developing the other arcs, or spent more time animating the other arcs to a high standard.

I don't know why the first two arcs were made at all, the movies were far better and they added nothing new really.

Why didn't they skip the Garlic Jr. saga? Same reason, except the BoG and FnF arcs at least have more merit than that arc.

Garlic was a test run.

- Krillin falls for a woman in Maron (18)
- Vegeta does extreme training (ssj and assj)
- Gohan beats big bad without Goku (cell)
- Goku is on the shelf with being in space (heart virus)
- Piccolo talks about protecting earth (see merger with Kami)

It served a whole lot of purpose for the android and cell arcs

Goku's missing in every arc and Krillin's been wanting a girlfriend since his introduction so half of that is irrelevant, plus Vegeta's whole thing is training anyway after Goku turned SSj

Its all about the money, why not maximize what you can squeeze out.
