The Lord of the Dark

As usual, I rewatched this recently, looked up if there was a thread for it, saw there wasn't and made a thread for it.

This movie is quite flawed and is mostly just a parody of greek mythology, but damn is it fun, and still one of my favourites from Disney because of that.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Yeah there are so many inaccurate things, but it's still great and one of my favorite Disney movies easy.

Could just be the nostalgia talking but even with all the WTH moments this movie's still a joy to watch, especially given how it's not a bad comedy at all.

Hades is still one of the all time great villains from Disney, James Woods steals the show plenty of times in this film.

heh

I get it.

But nah, there are other, more well told stories of this tale, obviously, and even The Iron Giant is a better Superman movie.

This isn't touching Richard Donner's Superman.

It's less boring and pedantic than Donner's Superman.

Donner's Superman is overrated. Brilliant performance by Christopher Reeves, technical marvel even today when you consider when it was made. But it is a long boring and stupid stupid movie.

Donner's Superman the movie is a WELL-MADE movie but it's not an entertaining or even good one. Just my honest opinion though.

For actual Superman movies Superman:Doomsday and All Star Superman were alright but Disney's Hercules is till better than both of those and way better than the live action fare.

It really isn't.

Also, being boring and really stupid could be said for this movie as well, given how intentionally silly it is, and I personally don't find Donner's movie at all stupid.

Saying Superman: Doomsday and All-Star Superman or any of the other animated ones are worse than Disney's Hercules would be ridiculous, even those are better adaptations of their own stories than this was, and that's saying a lot lol
