I barely even counted that as an animatronic, it had waaay too much CGI on top of it.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

$715,000,000 worldwide. I wonder if it'll hit the billion mark considering it just opened in the United States last week. JW got about $650,000,000 just from domestic gross, and a massive $1,000,000,000+ overseas. I can't see this movie doing that.

Same, but you never know.

The previous film was a bigger deal since the series had been dead for a while.

Crazy Awesome Legend

It kind of bothers me that such a mediocre film like this can make so much money but then I suppose the brand still carries a lot of weight. Plus people like dinosaurs and Chris Pratt.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Yeah it's a shame really aggressively okay movies earn billions and then cool, thought provoking weird s*** like Annihilation doesn't even make it's budget back.

I was tempted to see this in the cinema but it doesn't sound like it's worth it, money well saved.

You can get a fairly good cam version of it if you don't feel like wasting the money. Just saying.

I think I'll be skipping this movie. JW was as milquetoast and safe as those big blocksbusters come. Can't imagine this new one being any different.

I'll only watch it because I'm intrigued even though I've not heard any good things. It's a weird feeling.

It's not. It's a direct sequel to JW. I know that's saying the obvious, but if you're like me and see a big difference between the Park trilogy and the World trilogy, it makes a lot more sense.

Well yeah, the JP movies, or heck older movies in general I feel, had bigger sets of balls and weren't afraid of brutal deaths.

Was the latest Jigsaw movie brutal in the slightest? Specifically for SAW standards?

I hate to be the elderly man who complains about modern blockbusters while shaking his fist in anger but almost every big action movie I watch these days fails to leave a lasting impression. Jurassic World is a prime example. Just an unremarkable movie. It's the reason why whenever a movie like Dredd (2012) or John Wick comes out, it's a bit refreshing. It's not that those films are masterpieces (although I really like those two) but at least they feel like "real" action movies and not like something churned out by a movie-making software.

I've actually never seen Jurassic Park III. It's divisive but I might give it a watch one of these days.

Remember how awesome RoboCop was?

Yeah you're not getting that level of violence ever again in an action movie. Sorry, audience.

It was a smart movie, too. The satirical elements are as subtle as a punch to the solar plexus, but they were there. And, perhaps, they could only be delivered successfully through unsubtle means.

I'll say something positive about the Jurassic World movies, though: at least they made a normal sequel instead of trying to make a Jurassic Cinematic Universe.
