Despite that I never really learnt to ride them, no real interest on my part, I was always stuck mucking out and grooming them though.

I mean, considering how much horse riding was a mean of transportation back then, I don't believe people got so much of a butt/balls/pussy ache when riding them. Otherwise, half of the soldiers of an army would simply drop off because of that. I'm really curious how it feels like properly riding a horse. It's one of my dreams, besides anything that involves dropping yourself from a high altitude.

I imagine that with experience riding, you either get used to the aches or improve your ability to ride without incurring said aches. I rode one when I was about 9 or 10 on a school trip to France. The main thing I remember is it hurting a bit as you go up and down. Haven't done so since, mainly just because it's never been on my radar since. I'd like to do it again one day.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	I've ridden a Shetland pony and that's it It was my sisters, cousin was riding it and it threw her off so I was put on it to make sure the horse was alright. Was fine with me, even though my cousin was like 8 at the time and I must have been about 13. Good stuff. It was pretty cool. Would like to ride one of my mums horses but one is an obnoxious little s***, one has a dodgy leg and the other is like half the size of a house.
