![]() One of the most popular shark movies of all time, and one of the few that isn't absolute garbage. Well, in my opinion anyway. It's still far from great, even if it has its fun moments

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

I remember s***ting myself when the dude gets his arm bit off because I wasn't that in to horror movies yet... But then the rest of the film was hilarious, the bit where the guy is being dragged around under water while on a hospital bed, lol. Sharknado should have mixed with this film. |

So instead of regular sharks in a tornado they're super intelligent sharks in a tornado? DAMN. |

Yeah I've always had a soft spot for this movie, even with the healthy dose of LL Cool J. It's good fun without being too corny. Also, nice set Darker. |

Thanks, SG ![]() You know, I just realized that this movie kinda tried to set up a "Planet of the Sharks" movie... Given how the last shark wanted to escape and reproduce with others so that the intelligence would spread among sharkkind... You know, I'd watch that. |

Hell, I'd watch that too. Good point. Also, this movie on it's own could have probably afforded a sequel. It seems like it could have produced a half decent direct-to-dvd franchise. |

It appears that nowadays you need to put hardly any effort into your shark movie to get tons of sequels. Just look at all the Syfy crap. |

If you're on Syfy you don't have to put effort in to anything. Some of those movies are f***ing hilarious. I remember one where ants became some crazy hive mind thing and were forming shapes to attack people and s*** like that. And then one where a guy gets wolf eyes transplanted in to him after going blind...which makes him go crazy and eventually turn in to a wolf himself. And then one that was just...a bear attacking people. These movies have to be earning money to keep getting made, I bet they make like 10x their budget back

This movie is alright. Good cast though the story is a bit out there. Never thought the cook would survive. |

I saw this in theaters back in the day. I loved it. The cast is good, the story is fine (although it's clearly inspired by Jurassic Park), the soundtrack is solid as f***, and the shark effects were really good. I'm surprised there hasn't even been a Syfy-produced B-grade sequel yet. |

It was actually pretty rare to see big shot actors on Samuel's level to get killed off so soon at the time. That was far from a bad death, too. |
