Hell yes I am.

30 years old and I'm currently blazing my way through Super Mario Odyssey, while also trying to finish up catching various endgame critters in my copy of Pokémon Sun before I get Ultra Sun in 2 weeks. On the somewhat more "mature" side of gaming, I also typically log an hour or two in Elite:Dangerous most nights, and am coping with my current inability to afford Wolfenstein II by starting a replay of The New Order instead.

I've recently got fed up with gaming. I'm still going to buy the new Dragonball game coming out but I no longer have the patience to get into anything short of fighting games and sports games.

You realise the average age of video gamers is mid-30s, right? So the majority of gamers are already 25 and up. But yeah, I still play video games.

Also, most people don't 'grow up'. They just don't have as much free time. It's actually healthy to satisfy your inner child with hobbies and interests.

Video Games is a "new" pastime for humans since it became very popular in the late 80s. It's like movies and books, you won't really ever grow out of it if you are really into it.

And that's fair. People grow out of things all the time, not just video games.

Plus, you said recently. There's a chance you've just fallen out of it and may rekindle the interest in later years.

Every couple weeks I'll kill some hours by throwing on a game, but I don't play regularly. Probably won't put in a full session like the old days until the FFVII remake comes out.

Most of the time I want to play but when I do I enjoy it less for whatever reason. For example, I was playing The Witcher 3 recently and although it was fantastic - I just never went back to it.

These things tend to happen in cycles, though. I'll probably wake up one and do an all-nighter with it or something.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

It's still one of my favourite things to do but I do it a lot less, I often find I just can't be bothered.

I want to sit and play Wolfenstein II right now but would probably be too tired to enjoy it fully(or play it well) so I probably won't.
This is a frequent issue with gaming for me, the want but the lack of motivation to really be doing.

It periodically gets fixed by whatever game captures my interest but honestly I think gaming in general has got pretty f***ing stale in recent years, there's only ever like one or two games that interest me the rest are just more of the same or progressively less interesting.

Hoping next year fixes that, some good s*** coming out.
