I don't see why Trunks having an amped Super Saiyan 2 would imply Vegeta would have one. I mean, for starters, Vegeta is struck by the fact that Trunks could amplify Super Saiyan 2's power output. |

Yeah that does make it kinda weird. Maybe vegeta's amped ssj2 doesn't need to be as high as trunks' if vegeta has a stronger base form than goku and trunks and we keep the ssj multipliers small. I'll try out those numbers when I can There's a scene with goku and vegeta sparring just before trunks arrives that might mean vegeta is a bit stronger Edited by Ssj3vegito96, Nov 3 2017, 01:37 AM.

Nobody mentions Vegeta's ssj2 being different to normal ssj2, when Trunks' ssj2 is abnormally strong it's pointed out but here we're just meant to assume Vegeta kept some rage enhanced ssj2 from 2 arcs back which hasn't been mentioned since? Goku is really over fifty times weaker than ssj2 Vegeta as a ssj3 and it isn't pointed out any time how Vegeta kept that rage power? i think it'sjust a really bad inconsistency and with all the timey whimey bulls*** Toyataro just forgot how strong this would imply Vegeta is. I think it's just a mistake. |

This really isn't a problem if you simply assume they can imbue their base and Super Saiyan forms with God Ki. Toppo has sorta proven that you don't need a god transformation to understand and make use of God Ki. Chapter: 29, P34.5 Context: Goku has turned into a Super Saiyan God. Toppo: "You finally cast the aura of a god. Then I shall respond in the same way." I'm aware this suggests that Goku wasn't using God Ki prior to turning Super Saiyan God in his fight with Toppo, but that doesn't seem to be a problem, given that Goku says outright that he'll be on a completely different level than Super Saiyan 3 after turning into a Super Saiyan God. Chapter: 29, P32.5-7 Context: Goku is getting smacked around as a Super Saiyan 3. Toppo: "Transform already, you're wasting my time." Goku: "Dammit... I guess it can't be helped... I'm going to the next level then. From this point forward, I'll be at an entirely different level. Don't regret it!" Edited by ThePrinceOfSaiyans, Nov 3 2017, 02:47 AM.

Can you elaborate a bit more? I'm not seeing how this proves goku could enhance his ssj forms with God ki to make them stronger. Toppo was using proper ki control which made it seem like he was a god because goku couldn't sense him. But he has a god transformation too which is what he uses when goku turns ssjg

It doesn't prove what I'm suggesting. I was merely pointing out that mortals can learn to use God Ki without some ritualistic power up or transformation, so it isn't much of a stretch to assume Goku and Vegeta can amplify their other forms with God Ki if they so desire. Er, Toppo looks exactly the same. I'm pretty sure he didn't transform. |

Yeah, Toppo didn't transform. I know Zeno isn't the most reliable of eyes, but he noted Toppo was strong without transforming as well. |

Problem is they would have mentioned if Goku is using God Ki in his Super Saiyan forms. God Ki is only mentioned when Goku and Vegeta are using Super Saiyan God and Blue. And why would Goku use Super Saiyan God against trunks if he only need to amplify his Super Saiyan 3 with God Ki. Edited by Vegerot1990, Nov 3 2017, 05:42 AM.

The whole rage boost thing doesn't make any sense, because being able to consciously/voluntarily use it means that it isn't a rage boost. Every single rage boost we've seen in the series have been instances where the person getting angry totally loses their sense of reason and any sense of calmness. You can't voluntarily choose to do that without experiencing the overwhelming anger that comes along with the boost in power. |

There isn't really a point where it's necessary to point that out though. They only times I feel they've done this is against Freeza, Hit, and Black, and to be honest, they aren't fully god when they amplify their transformations, so it may not even register that they're using God Ki. Goku used Super Saiyan God because he was being cheeky and because Toyotaro will use any excuse he can use the form because he's said in the past that he really likes it. I just find this more reasonable than Vegeta having kept the ability to use his rage power without actually being angry. |

It makes it harder to believe Vegeta used Blue against Hit if they could do this kind of thing, though. For me at least. |
