Has anyone ever tried caviar? What does it taste like?

It tastes as you would expect, like fish.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I see "cheap" caviar at the supermarket all the time. I've always wanted to try it but I don't know if I can bring myself to buy and then eat it from off some random shelf.

I grew up eating caviar, though not the expensive kind. It does taste like fish because it's made of fish.

I get the impression that it's extremely salty. Is that true?

Yeah, it tastes kinda salty and fishy. It's not very salty though, if you've eaten very salty caviar then it was probably very cheap caviar.
The thing with caviar is that the eggs pop open in your mouth and the taste then gets released which is very pleasant. So caviar is more about texture than taste.

I've never had it, just imagined they were salty. But I always thought it was an extremely salty food. No idea why I thought that. I'll pretty much try anything once. It's certainly on my food bucket list, but I don't just want to buy some junk from the store. I'd rather wait for the opportunity to have it proper from a decent place.
