Have you ever had to do jury duty? What was the nature of the case?

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I was called up for Jury Duty, but was excused because of my medical status. To be honest, it wasn't ever something I looked forward to, although I obviously would have done it if I had to. I can't imagine that many people get interesting cases to adjudicate.

Looks like the pay is still terrible at around $40 a day. $50 for federal jurors who serve for ten days or more. I wouldn't want to give up my usual paycheck for that...

It does seem silly that you're forced into taking time out from work and potentially losing money. If you're forced into doing it, then they should cover the exact figure of your lost wages.
