Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I don't think Chris Hemsworth is the problem, he's a decent actor he just doesn't get ANY good material at all.

I can't think of a single decent line from Thor, just some of his funny moments because that's basically all he gets.

Meanwhile Cap and Iron Man have a lot of the series devoted to their characters.

Thor could be interesting they just make no effort to make him interesting.
Like all they would really need to do is make him have some useful knowledge, he's practically just some mindless drone that gets ordered about by others.

Marvel movies have had a long run of having generic villains. Probably the biggest criticism I hear of them. Aside from Loki, most have been rather forgettable and one-off. Sad because Hiddleston says this is his last film in the MCU (although as we are all aware, money always talks).

Well, he and Red Skull.

I'm not gonna deny Hugo Weaving's acting skills, even if I'm not the biggest fan of Red Skull.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I'm gonna include Ego and Vulture in that one

If anything, most of phase 3 seems to have somewhat fixed the problems of generic villains that die at the end of the movie

On their own I guess they were fine (also Zemo) but as far as well adapted villains go Loki and Red Skull were the only ones, really.

I have never seen the appeal to Loki personally.

He's somewhat funny with how snide he is but other than that kinda meh, he never really feels like much of a bad or a good guy and not in a good way.

Red Skull is one of the better ones, he genuinely seemed like an evil dude.

Vulture is probably the best one imo, you could actually get behind what he wanted to do and he made fine sense as a character, though they never really went that much in to him.

Zemo had by far the best plan.

Basically everyone else was completely forgettable. Can't even remember the name of Thor 2's villain.

Most people's appeal to Loki is the fact that despite his power he's still quite pathetic.

He's also the typical bad boy with a somewhat sad backstory, being the "Scar" of the family and all, so obviously he's got tons of fangirls. Hiddleston amps the number even higher.
