From psychedelic horror to pure action with still plenty of horror in there, James Cameron took Ridley Scott's masterpiece and followed it up with one of the best sequels of all time. Twice the badass, twice the cast and twice the danger as the number of Xenomorphs has multiplied over a hundredfold, and unfortunately for the main cast, they've got the aliens' queen to worry about as well.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I greatly prefer Alien but Aliens is still amazing.

It's shocking that good sequels are so rare, they almost never come close to the original movie even when sequels were always part of the plan.

When you look at this movie...and then you look at Covenant...it's damn hard not to burst out laughing.

"Yes, I'll look at this strange egg thing no questions asked"

Interesting that the better sequels all seem to be for older movies, I'm not one to put much stock on nostalgia but they often genuinely seem to be better movies in their own right.

Crazy Awesome Legend

The greatest female protagonist of all time. Plus the legend that is Michael Biehn. Plus the immortal line "Get away from her you b***." Amazing film.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

Yeah, good film. I prefer this one over the first, but both are cool.

"Next time?"
"Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is."

I'm in the boat for loving the first one more, but that takes nothing away from the sequel here. A nearly perfectly structured action movie and so incredibly well paced. Damn good the whole way through. And of course it gave us the Queen Alien.
