Episode 26 in English Sub Beerus: That Frieza has certainly become stronger, but there's no way he can win if Vegeta also joins the fight. In the movie, Resurrection F: Whis: If you ever found a way to work together for once you'd be able to go toe to toe with even Lord Beerus This was foreshadowing for the ending of the Tournament of Power. Vegeta and Goku are going to swallow their pride and they will defeat Jiren together without fusion. It still won't be easy but they'll get it done. Vegeta will swallow his pride to save his new born daughter, and Goku will too in order to save Pan and everyone else. Mark my words ![]() |

The movie has no bearing on the show since that line wasn't included. The God of Destruction level has been made far higher in the show. |

Would teaming up really work when the opponent is more than 20x times stronger, and still holding back ? Frieza was stronger than Goku but only by a little bit, he wasn't even two times stronger. He's stronger but in the sense that a teamwork of Vegeta & Goku would defeat him. Vegeta & Goku could defeat Jiren, but that's only in the case where one of them is already close to him in power(Which I think is Goku when he gets his transformation back), and Vegeta is insignificant to both of them but strong enough to turn the battle in Goku's favor. Just like he helped Gohan against Cell(and even then, Vegeta wasn't more than twenty times weaker than Cell). |

I feel like we'd feel more build up in the Tournament of Power if that were the case. |

I don't see Vegeta acquiring Ultra Instinct in the tournament, so I very much doubt they'll end up working together to defeat Jiren. |

UI no, but I don't think he is that weak. I don't think he is 20x weaker than Goku and I think he is hiding some s***. Vegeta didn't b*** about kaioken x 20 even though this would be the first time he has ever seen that level. He didn't b*** about UI. HE never lost his s*** and gave a monologue of that damn Kakarot leaving him in the dust. He could very well have improved his blue power, found Rose, completed blue, became a ssj2/3/ussj/assj blue, learned kaioken, found his own ikari, etc who knows in the ROSAT. He is however oddly f***ing calm for Vegeta and does tell Goku he would be the last one standing between the two of them when they beat U9. HEck maybe Vegeta asks for the power of all his teammates and instead of putting it in a bomb absorbs it all in himself at their maxes. Edited by Kblo247, Oct 16 2017, 09:27 PM.

I've noticed and been surprised by Vegeta's exceptional calmness towards Goku having surpassed him by ~50x, but I still don't think he gets Ultra Instinct or even a Jiren tier form. The Saiyan Prince may have a trick or two up his sleeve, but Goku still seems to be set up to defeat Jiren. |

Seeing the two of them tag team Jiren would be sweet and in the context of this tournament, absolutely the place to do it. They can think of it more as a 10 on 10 fight and they've wittled it down to 2 on 1 because of their superiority as a universe overall, rather than think of it as 2 on 1 ganging up. Even then Vegeta will have to be hiding something significant and to say him not reacting to kkx20 or him teasing Goku by saying he'll be the last one standing is reaching a bit I think. I don't think the writers are hinting at anything, just trying to make Vegeta seem like Vegeta...who inexplicably thinks he's a contender. I'd like to be surprised but I'm expecting the usual humiliating defeat. |

Vegeta doesn't necessarily need UI in order to help Goku. He'll be game to fight Jiren and distract him like he did against Buu. Plus I'm still under the belief that Vegeta's SSJB is stronger than Goku's SSJB (excluding KK & UI of course) because of the 2 times he went in the hyperbolic time chamber alone when Goku did not. I think he's more powerful than we know. He kicked Goku Black's a*** in their third fight. |

True but Goku has had quite a lot of training since then as we've seen Bulma become visibly pregnant and be near giving birth, that's 9 months and Vegeta was in the ROSAT for 6 months before fighting Black, then he's slacked on his training to look after his wife, then he's spent just one month in the ROSAT again before this tournament started (if Goku had told him the stakes beforehand then he may have got in there sooner). The Hit arc doesn't seem to apply, feels like filler as Goku seems excited to fight Hit like he hasn't seen him since the Champa arc, he doesn't seem like they've just fought, so the training Vegeta was doing with Whis there doesn't really count. If you did count it then Whis told Vegeta that Goku gets extracurricular training as he's ahead, which makes no sense considering Vegeta's beat down of Black which just makes it seem more fillerish. So yeah unless Vegeta has been working an extemely effective line of training then he and Goku have had about the same amount of time to improve overall. Unless of course Vegeta has more potential and with the same time and resources and with the removal of the chip on his shoulder can be a lot stronger than Goku in equal forms? I doubt it And remember two krillin can not beat a cell IF both of them could somehow use the perfect ultra instinct by will while they are using ssjb and if they end up fighting together maybe they could do the same what they did in movie 6 But thats two IFS and a big maybe |
