Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Anyone watched?

Just watched the first episode and...

Well, it sure as s*** blows that steaming turd Inhumans out of the water.

It's not remarkable by any means but it's decent for a pilot episode, the CGI is pretty great, the acting is fine as is the story.
Characters obviously aren't particularly developed yet but there's vaguely interesting relationships.

The use of powers is pretty cool too, people using enhanced senses or light/heat to weld things as well as some explanation on how certain powers work.

Seriously how do we get this from FOX and then...ugh, that from the MCU?

Anyway yeah, good show so far. Can't wait to watch more.
Don't watch Inhumans.

Wasn't Scott part of Iron Fist though? Last time I checked, that was not good in any level and everyone agreed on the fact that it sucked.

Inhumans was likely terrible because Marvel was pissy at Fox for not letting them have their mutants (with Fox they're safe at least, let's hope that lasts) and didn't even try. This probably does try, although I'm a bit confused by the lack of actual mutants. Not that I mind of course, the concept of mutants is great regardless if the original characters are there or not. But it'd be a nice bonus, unless they're planning to surprise the audience later on.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

What do you mean by actual mutants?

Like Wolverine, Cyclops and the rest of the original gang?

'Cause most of them are dead here, I'm pretty sure this is set between Logan and Days of Future Past in one of the timelines that made.

I'm guessing it's in the timeline where the Sentinels happened because they get shut down or something afterwards IIRC.

It'd be cool if they did put a couple of the originals in though, like Nightcrawler maybe. Surely he could have escaped.

I wonder if it's going to incorporate the whole corn syrup thing and explain a bit more on that since Logan didn't drop many details.

Also there's an X-Men based horror movie coming out, what the hell is with FOX? When did they get good!?

I like that they're taking these concepts and not confining them to a little box, we're getting some nicely varied content that suits mostly everyone except children.

I'm glad mutants aren't a part of the MCU because they'd be f***ing boring.
(Yes I'm getting bored of the MCU, can you tell)

They've been doing good for a while, silly Steve.

Also, horror X-Men? I can already think of a few things they might do in that one.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

Yeah, Fox has been producing good TV for a while now. Especially if you include the FX shows, which I think counts as the same company.

Also, didn't know this was a thing, or forgot that it was coming out. I'll definitely check this out at some point.

Not sure it's worth making a whole topic on just yet but here's the trailer for the horror movie anyway:

Based on that I wouldn't say it's going to be the greatest film ever or anything, especially when they've taken two actors from popular series.

But at least they're trying something different. A superhero horror movie is a damn cool idea.

I hope that with these shows and movies they'll have them closely woven in with the main stuff, it'd be cool to have it all be part of the same thing and reference each other rather than the TV stuff be in it's own kind of universe.

It's sad that they haven't tried to adapt a proper horror superhero or always turned them into more lighthearted or stupid plots.

I would've loved The Mask as it was in the comics, though Jim Carrey wouldn't have worked there I feel.

That's my point

He's the show runner of Iron Fist and Inhumans
