How do you think Jiren will be taken down?

Something predictable with Goku mastering or efficiently tapping into the Ultra Instinct mentality as someone else mentioned. When has a major rival or antagonist ever been defeated through some unexpected original means that doesn't involve someone overpowering them? About the closest instance of that would be Mutaito sealing King Piccolo away centuries before he was released in the present chronological timeline of events.

Hit had the best opportunity to take Jiren down by aiming for the heart, yet instead he relies upon this temporal cage ability. It's impressive, but a rules violation in this situation may not have been all too bad if it ensured that the biggest threat to Universe 6's survival was eliminated. I suppose from then on they would have to inspire Kale to tap into her transformations and aim to somehow survive the myriad of heavy hitters still lurking about. Good luck with that. The most they could hope for is Freeza, Gohan, Vegeta and #17 all becoming embroiled in some intense battle with Toppo and/or Dyspo. A mutual decimation that results in exhaustion of everyone before coming in to clear everything up would have been their best chance. Nothing we've seen from Universes 2, 3, and 4 seem to indicate that they're all too big of a threat sans the bugs who are still an unknown variable.

For all of Super's flaws, I wouldn't say it's been predictable in the conclusion of any arc.

Goku lost outright to Beerus and they were spared by his intrigue in Goku and Vegeta...and Bulma's ability to feed them.

Freeza actually won by getting Goku to lower his guard and by Vegeta's stalled actions. Freeza played to every advantage he had, surviving in the vacuum of space being his best one and only the unexpected interference of Beerus and Whis defeated him. The biggest power did win (Whis) but only by reversing time.

Universe 6 tournament saw Goku forfeit and Hit taking a dive for universe 7's victory.

And the Zamasu fight ended...well...with a Trunks on the fly spirit bomb absorption sword attack...which failed and Zamasu became the...sky... nd then Zeno actually erased Trunks' entire universe and everyone he loves even in the afterlife...so yeah...that one was pretty weird to say the least
