Maybe this new unrevealed character might do it though.

If Vegeta had been the one to put up a fight Jiren wouldn't be waiting, he'd have found Vegeta and broken his spine leaving Goku to be the only hope. I've noticed that this fight is way too similar to the one Goku had against Frieza: Goku is outclassed, even when he uses kaioken x20, He tries the spirit bomb and he fails, he gets a new form like he did when he got SSJ, and both of them fought evenly for a bit before Goku got the advantage on Frieza. The first fight between Jiren and UI Goku had them even, with Goku slightly getting the edge over the fight since they comment that he was evolving and his hits were faster and stronger. There's also the pic of UI Goku shirtless and having a different aura. Perhaps he is mastering it? This form has to beat Jiren, it's the only conceivable way and it would make it redundant not to have it beat him. Teamwork failed on Zamasu, why would it work against a much stronger guy? Especially when this is a battle royal where each universe is trying to save their skins.

Posts: 3,718 Group: Member Member #11,519 Joined: July 15, 2014	They don't have to defeat him outright though, they need to either knock him off of the ring or survive until the end with more members still standing, there are ways to write that without it being too farfetched, a new technique an ingenious plan. It would actually be a lot more creative than Dragon Balls usual shtick of "my power is more maximum than your power so I win". And it would keep Jiren as a benchmark to reach instead of him already been beaten within a 40 odd minute match up. Edited by superperfectnerd, Oct 14 2017, 11:53 AM.

Vegeta eliminates Dyspo, Frieza and Toppo eliminate each other and then its Vegeta and Goku vs. Jiren. Remember Whis said if Vegeta and Goku worked together and fought together, they could defeat almost anyone.... Vegeta and Goku will defeat Jiren together

With such a big eyes, maybe Goku should aim at his eyes instead the next time they fight. Or perhaps in the midst of busy fighting, Ribrianne struck Jiren with her awful love attack :P
