I don't mind either, but the TOP and Goku Black arcs are some of the better arcs in Dragon Ball history, that alone kills GT.

The new SSJ forms in Super have been better than SSJ4
A lot of people like myself still really like ssj4

I do like ssjb, ssjr, and ultra instinct though too. Ssjg grew on me a lot too

I can understand liking vegeta more in Super but goku, at least in the Super anime, is just too much of a fighting machine sometimes. I really liked kid goku in GT though
I didn't care for SSJ 4, but I didn't dislike it either. I just didn't like how Vegeta cheated to get it. I was so glad to see how Vegeta obtained SSJ Blue on his own, that's the real Vegeta to me. As for Goku, yeah I hated GT from the start because of what they did to Goku lol

Still Super, GT has some great moments but a large majority of the series is boring and hard to watch. Overall the Super manga beats both of these without much of a challenge.

Vegeta cheated because he streamlined the transformation?
Yes lol

As we saw in Super, the "real" Vegeta refused to do the ritual that would give him SSJ God. He said he'd achieve the power on his own through training, then he did it. That was so badass

I fail to see how that's cheating. What else was he supposed to do?

I thought the only reason why vegeta couldn't turn ssj4 was because he didn't have a tail so they had to force blutz waves into him with a machine

The only difference is that Vegeta knew he needed Bruits waves to transform. Goku had no idea; he was in the right place at the right time. There were no Bruits waves just hanging around for Vegeta to use, so he had Bulma create a machine that could do the same. That's not cheating.

Yeah a lot of people criticise the method Vegeta gets ssj4.

Goku was turned back into a child, child saiyans can regrow their tails when they're cut off, Goku and Gohan did it loads of times as children. Vegeta however lost his tail as an adult and has no means of getting it back, the blutz wave amplifier got around this problem and even then Vegeta could only do it with the machine, it didn't permanently regrow his tail so he could transform again in the future. It's not really cheating, he was just at a disadvantage of luck like he always is compared to Goku.

It was actually a great moment to show Bulma coming through for Vegeta.

Da hell's a 'GT'?

Jokes aside, 111+ episodes > 64 episodes. Also, SSJ4 = The only saiyan transformation to make the user look like a fruitcake. Nuff' said. This right here, for me, makes GT go down the toilet drain.

Considering Vegeta got Blue, I dare say he either "cheated" and completed skipped the Super Saiyan God Ritual, or he he got it the same way Goku did. As that's the only way we know how to get it.

Unless Vegeta was like...

Vegeta: I don't need your stupid ritual! I, the Prince of Saiyans, will obtain it as a rightful Saiyan should!

*meanwhile in the gravity chamber, set now on about 40,000x normal gravity.

Vegeta: *Plastered on the ground, unable to move* f*** your ritual! I don't need no goddamn ritual! *Crack* I don't need no ribs! f*** your ribs, I eat ribs for dinner! Vegeta! Vegeta! Vegeta!

And then he became a Super Saiyan Blue.

I wouldn't even be annoyed if Super did this, it'd be a very self aware joke.

GT didn't butcher some of the characters as much, I'd give it that. But it's hard to see that as a positive when it has 20 episodes of the stupidest rehash of early DB I've seen outside of 0/10 fanfiction, a boring follow-up arc, a horrendous mess that was Toei's worst arc yet, and then a final arc that's even worse than that somehow up until the last 2 or 3 dragons. Super sucks sometimes and hits some serious lows, but as an entertainment medium and as an action show I prefer it by a lot. Also, it may be the Goku and Vegeta show, but other than godfapping Trunks it's at least tried to give the spotlight to other characters in a slightly tasteful way.

The Super 17 Arc is nowhere near as bad as the Garlic Jr. Arc or the Copy Vegeta Arc.

Garlic Jr. at least gave Kami some memorable lines and sexy Maron cleavage. Super 17 has nothing, NOTHING. Also, the fact that it sucks and can't be skipped because of a character death and relevance to the plot makes its s***tiness less excusable than two filler arcs IMO
