I just rewatched this modern classic, reminding myself why it's one of my favourite horror movies that tilt on the comedic side of things.
And since Halloween will be upon us in a few weeks, why not talk about it now?

For those who don't know about this movie, it's an American/Canadian anthology, which means it's several short stories connected into one, and since it's canadian, there's a lot of that "Rock 'n Rule" coolness only canadians are capable of offering us. All stories revolve around Halloween, and that's about all I will tell you. Go watch it and enjoy it.

So yeah, expect spoilers below from those of us who have seen it.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Yo

I didn't realise it was that old, aren't they making a sequel?
Me and my old housemates used to do a s*** movie sunday, and one of them picked this up, of course we were all delighted that it was actually a really great film. We found Tucker and Dale vs evil the same way.
I think I have the DVD somewhere, might rewatch it as it's been a while.

Come on, 2007 ain't "old".

There were talks about a sequel back in 2013, who knows if they're still bothering with it or if it's in development hell.

It's been in development hell for like half a decade now. Every once in a while the director will mention something, but then it'll go quiet again. Maybe by 2020 we'll get a teaser trailer or something.

I liked the first one a lot.

It saddens me that it's always the classics that don't get anything... But you know, maybe it's for the best, same way The Iron Giant doesn't need a sequel.

I haven't seen this movie in years. I remember liking it though. I should really re-watch it!

Now's a good time as any, given that Halloween is around the corner.
