Or did you think the movie was scary due to the atmosphere? Or because of the characters you cared so much about? Was there a lot of tension?

One thing....actually many things I despise in horror films are its lack of realism & Plot Induced Stupidity 1. Every goddamn horror movie, be it the haunted house/mansion/kid would have its entire setting/place lights offed. Dafuq? Spirits are active only in darkness izit? 2. Characters would act to fkin annoyingly dumb like walking in dark staircase despite knowing they're in for trouble 3. Despite given 1000 cues about the presence of evil beings, the movie characters would STILL act ignorant to the point of absolute stupidity only to expose the big reveal to so-called audience. FAARK!!!!

I did like the Crooked Man At first I thought Freddy Krueger had somehow slipped into this movie lol I'm glad the guy's getting his own movie, and hopefully it's not about incompetent evil ghosts. Seriously Valak is the worst ghost I've seen in one of these so far, how can a demon that can summon lightning suck so hard?
