My Dear Melancholy,

 Okay so I was busy yesterday and didnt hear about this till this morning. I know a lot of y'all are not in the USA but still feel free to say your thoughts.

 Well, yeah, I would want the president of our country to be a little more firm against aggressive behavior like the nationalist groups are displaying. If he isn't, then they think he's not against it, and that's just not what America wants.

Anyway, I think that stuff is stupid in general. It's a waste of time.

 Yeah, some nut got in his car and plowed through the crowd. They were lucky it was only one person, but the driver has already been arrested at least.

Anyone with half of a brain would've peaced out as soon as David Duke showed up, I know I would've.

Just add this to the growing list of violent riots since the election. Next week it will be ANTIFA, the week after it will be white supremacists again, and so on...

There are many crazies out there my friend, well tbf there are many out their irl but people online are even weirder/crazier due to anonymity or the safety of their house.

 Believe it or not, some friends and I are planning to start an equality rally here in San Antonio. One of them told me it was happening already so, we'll be there if it does. If not, we gonna do it ourselves.

It makes me angry to see this kind of ignorance. For people to judge someone off something like ethnicity is disgusting. Racism itself is disgusting.

When BLM is blocking roadways and inciting violence themselves, this sort of thing is bound to happen. Both sides having it out with each other is kind of what we've been working towards, unfortunately.

Violence is never excusable, and I think that Trump should take a firmer stand against neo-Nazism and white supremacy, but he is right to condemn "multiple sides."

Do you think he was talking about the larger culture of protesting and violence in America when he was talking about 'multiple sides', or was he talking about this specific instance?

 I feel like there's a marked difference between BLM which was spawned out of unjust shootings and of the neo-nazis which were spawned because they're Confederate traitors to the nation(since the whole mess started with being upset that a statue of Robert E. Lee was being moved to a museum). I also would note that in sheer numbers, BLM doesn't compare either in terms of damage done.

Right, don't mention that when you don't cater to antifascists and Black Lives Matter groups you can expect violent riots, violent protests, and even kidnappings, apparently.

Let's just continue to pretend that Trump supporters support white supremacists and this kind of violence, that seems more characteristic lately of the groups opposing them and all those that voted differently to them.

Which is to say, you think the marked difference is that you think they're justified. Right?

Just come out and say so.
Compare the reason the two groups exist and you'll see the difference. Whether either of them are justified or not, BLM has much more right existing as a movement than White supremacists or Neo-Nazis ever did and ever will.
