The universes are racing to find their best fighters, am I meant to believe that aside from Freeza, the greatest warriors who have ever lived in every universe happen to be alive now after billions of years of existence? Why didn't any other Kai or God think of bringing a warrior from the afterlife? Nobody seems to mind that Freeza is dead, being dead also gives several physical advantages. Unless the 'mortal level' has been slowly improving and one of those improvements is also power. Edited by superperfectnerd, Aug 10 2017, 04:58 PM.

Well in Universe 7 no one proved powerful enough to offer an equatable fusion partner for Base Goku. What does that say about the deceased warriors who were allowed to keep their bodies? I doubt the prospect crossed the minds of any other gods from different universes. What's more, they don't appear to have a Baba like figure to return the deceased fighter to the land of the living. They must have felt it safer and probably just as effective to exclusively employ living fighters. |

It wasn't Goku's power that meant he couldn't fuse, it was his biology. Fusion requires two people of similar build and body type and I would guess race in that case. Goku could lower his base power to any level of a potential partner. |

This was Goku's exact words when referring to his lack of practice with the technique. Chapter: 469 (DBZ 275), P6.7 Context: talking about Fusion Goku: “…I was just taught the art, but I ain’t never tested it out…There wasn’t anybody on par with me in the afterlife…” Unless I'm misinterpreting the context of the word "par", Goku seems to be referring to power. |

How are they going to bring them back? They don't have Dragon Balls or Baba. |

Maybe some of them were/are dead, but brought back in ways that didn't involve having a halo. |

But fusion involves matching power levels perfectly and considering Trunks proved a saiyan can suppress his power level all the way down to 5, why would nobody being on 'par' with Goku matter at all? |

The other universes featuring trillions of stars and planets don't feature anyone like Baba and the Earth happens to have both Baba and Dragon Balls and all the strongest fighters to ever live happen to be in the last 100 years? |

Knowing Goku, he may have wanted to ascertain just how powerful his full Base strength could become as a result of fusion. I sincerely doubt that out of the hundreds, if not thousands of warriors with bodies that not one would be physiologically compatible with Goku. |

But you don't doubt that none of them in the billions of years of history are as strong as base Goku? |

Evidently not. Dragon Balls maybe, but we wouldn't know since they wouldn't have a halo if they were brought back through those. I don't think it really matters tbh. |

You mean as strong as a being who underwent extraordinary fighting conditions to heighten his power to levels that exceeded even the galactic tyrant's own power? Power levels in the tens of thousands used to be considered the crème de la crème of the upper universal echelon before Z-fighters came along. The universal king's own police force has a soldier like Jaco who is thought of as an elite by their standards, yet how strong is he? Low thousands? Inflation carried virtually everyone in the Z-fighters' group to new pinnacles that were thought inaccessible before the Freeza arc. |

They probably didn't even think about the dead either. Goku was the one that thought of Freezer. |

And there's never been anyone else in the universe's history like Freeza? |

Anyone of Freeza's calibre? It's questionable. The last Super Saiyan existed many many years back, but I doubt if their actions would have reflected the kind of selflessness and benevolence required to retain their body. Many of these past figures likely weren't allowed to keep their bodies. |
