Battle of Gods: good re-introduction into dragon ball, has the form that is the building block of super, which is super saiyan god. In my opinion the red form should be stronger than blue, which would explain Beerus's gap between ssb Kaikon Goku and Vegito that Super Saiyan god (red) is a pure god form not just a power up between a whole different level, and blue should have been described as a mortal controlling god Ki, which would explain why Beerus struggled and at some times was in a disadvantage against this form, but would out match both Goku and Vegeta and rival Vegito in their Blue forms. Resurrection of F: by far the worst Arc in all the Dragon Ball franchise, animations was really bad, the whole Goten and Trunks jobbing while Roshi gets the spot light, Tagoma becoming super saiyan tier from just getting beat up by Frieza. At least they should have went in depth of how Frieza obtained his golden form, they could have done a montage with Frieza lifting planets or doing 1000 times gravity work or something and Sorbei's ray gun penetrating Goku ? Universe 6 vs Universe 7: light arc, introduced us to other characters with special abilities. We got introduced to an entire new saiyan race, and most importantly the epic showdown between Hit and Goku which is by far the best fight in Dragon Ball super. Hit as a villain is unique in a way that he is not just a buff dude with a high power level, he is a unique character with unique abilities. Goku Black/ Zamasu Arc: By far the darkest and most grueling saga in the Dragon Ball franchise, this shifts us from heroes versus monsters into a tragic story with a promising supreme Kai who fell into the dark side and let his insanity take over. A classic fallen angel story line. This saga had so many epic battles, we got Vegito back which is a plus, and finally someone not named Goku defeating the big bad of the arc with an epic ending. I would never imagine an anime as light as dragon ball to get involved into such a dark storyline. I will leave my review on the tournament of power arc when it is over. |

They've all been lackluster so far. The Tournament of Power also isn't over, so I don't see how one can conclude it's the best when it could very easily have a really s***ty ending. Remember, everyone thought the Future Trunks arc was going well until the mid-way point, and it continued to get worse from there. Going off what's finished, I have to say the Champa arc. It's been the least offensive so far. |

As far as actual story goes, the Zamasu arc. As far as basically anything else goes, from fights, to character moments, the universal tournament arc. It just had an extremely slow start but I've been loving the tournament itself. |

Future Trunks Saga by far. So far Universe Survival can't really contend with the others imo. |

Black was actually good...no real development in terms of fighting weaker fighters, then medium, then ultimate....was just big battles but great battles. But once again no real win at the end. I think the tournament could come good...but so much stupid stuff with it, but at least it actually feels like a proper saga. Would have maybe preferred longer prep time for the tournament and more training. Edited by Namek_Nimrod, Aug 6 2017, 06:17 PM.

Despite being fillerish buildup, I enjoyed the time given to different cast members for the Tournament of Power, particularly Gohan and Krillin. The tournament itself has been somewhat lackluster so far, but there have been some cool moments. I don't care for the Battle of Gods arc, I hate the RoF arc, and the Champa arc was "meh" at best. |

In spite of its flagrant glorification of the Saiyans, the Future Trunks arc did present us with some unforgettable fights. The atmosphere was like a hyper-adrenaline elaboration of the arc's spiritual predecessor - humanity yet again on the brink of destruction, only now it's against unearthly menace whom Trunks can neither combat or even put an historical context on who, what, and why they are slaughtering using the visage of Earth's beloved saviour. It was as if the skies and ambiance themselves were trying to surmount the desperation, terror and hopelessness felt by the future protagonist and human civilians against the cyborgs. I really enjoyed the arc for its darker nature while attempting to explore new avenues with its psychological make-up for its villain. By general manga standards, the concept of a misguided being who commits atrocities under the belief that they are meting out justice is a fairly typical persona, but for Dragon Ball it was groundbreaking new material, even if the execution left more to be desired. Apart from the classic callbacks in the Mafuba and Vegetto, both of whom sadly didn't amount to much, I really enjoyed the characters cope with this dire new world and circumstances. It was the first time since Super's inception that Goku displayed any hint of the old "the fight isn't what's important" intensity he was capable of displaying like when waging war against King Piccolo's faction in order to avenge Krillin's death. Vegeta exhibited some of the post-Buu battle humbleness and sincerity that I enjoy seeing in his character. Future Trunks was given a temporary, albeit poignant hatred for Goku's image after all of the trauma experienced by Black's devastation of the future. The romance sub-plot with Mai and his later combat feats are some of the lowpoints of his characterisation, but overall he remains one of the more committed and focused members of the Z-fighters so I respect him for that. |

The BOG arc was decent. RF arc is not terrible in English so I'll say it's alright I guess. The champa arc was pretty good. I had pretty much no complaints for the manga version especially. Goku black saga was great. It got kinda weird towards the end but overall I thought it was awesome. This current arc is up and down. I appreciate that they're taking their time to develop it and make sure there's a lot of build up but f*** it's taking a while. There have been a lot of great very memorable moments though I think so far probably the goku black saga still. I know it gets a lot of flack towards the ending but overall I think it's probably one of the best arcs in the franchise Edited by Ssj3vegito96, Aug 6 2017, 08:13 PM.

Goku Black arc > ToP > U6 vs U7 tournament > BoG > RoF >>>>>>> Copy Vegeta if that one even counts. I'd put RoF over BoG if it had consistently acceptable animation, but it obviously doesn't. |

The Tournament of Power thus far is very lacking in wow moments, so I don't have a high opinion of it. Because of that, I put the U6 tournament at top, as that's the only arc thus far that really actually made me pretty excited with Hit vs Goku(even if just for a while). Meanwhile, the Trunks arc just became a disjointed mess that had its fingers in too many pies and ROF and BOG are awful remakes that make no sense(yeah, remember Beers's paralysis ability and god mode's regeneration?) |

People exaggerate so much. People were loving the Goku Black arc, but they fumbled at the end so now the whole thing is deemed "terrible" Bog was the most boring, really slow. But the fight was great, top 10 in the series easily, better than the movie. The Frieza arc was bad with the animation and the fight was mediocre, but at least they somewhat explained his training and the Tagoma thing was a nice touch. But Ginyu stole his spotlight for nothing more than fan-service really which was lame. U6 tournament was hit or miss, some parts I really wanted them to hurry up with. It had pretty ok fights and the fight with Hit was really well done, but for the most part the other fighters were disappointing by comparison. The Goku black arc was really good except for some plotholes and @ss pulls. I like that he technically won but even though the final battle, spirit sword finish and Zamasu killing all the humans was entertaining it still felt half-assed and incomplete. Not wrapped up well at all. And as a side-note I liked the Mai and Trunks romance thing and the humans coming together and whatnot. But I think Trunks and Mai's relationship definitely could've been fleshed out more. They're adults but they're so shy and childish about it. As for the TOP gathering fighters for the most part was boring. The Tien and Frieza episodes were the only ones I actually enjoyed. The fights themselves in the tournament of power I've just been so hype for. It's like when I was a kid, I couldn't wait for the next episode. I keep re-watching the episodes after they air. Power-scaling is the only gripe I have with it. But I still love it thus far

Yup I agree. Overall the goku black saga was great. People were loving it. Towards the end it was weird and all of a sudden people say it sucks now and Super sucks because of it blah blah blah. Dbz fans are so hard to satisfy. Myself included don't get me wrong lol

I do gotta give the Black arc props. It was really good up until about the time Black whipped out his weird clone jutsu, at least IMO. It really started to drag. |

I think that's what it was. I liked a lot of the stuff that happened still but it got to a point where it was unneccessary to drag it any further because it could've been over already |

I actually like the Tournament of Power as it is now.It matches the seriousness that DBZ had(the whole universe was being at stake by the Buu arc), The Future Trunks saga also came close. I also don't get what's wrong with the end, Goku and Company are faced with an enemy that they couldn't beat(minus Beerus) and therefore had to give up on the timeline. It's a nice change of pace when the heroes have a Pyrrhic victory. |
