| Do you suppose the humans could be of any use with their abilities?; This is in reference to the array of techniques seen previously in Dragon Ball. | |

What I mean by "abilities" is the more classic types like Dodonpa, Shiyoken, Mafuba, Hypnosis, Thunder Shock Surprise, ect. As it stands, they have yet to truly capitalise on this prospective treasure trove of armaments, with Krillin's Kienzan and Taiyoken being notable exceptions. The power disparities which exist might be circumvented since a number of these aforementioned techniques operate on a different set of mechanics than Ki dictated durability. Against more easily manageable enemies, I can't fathom why Tien wouldn't bother to utilise his Shiyoken for added attack capabilities and hand-to-hand advantages. Dodonpa should also be usable for several different enemies whom the humans are within spectrum of. Not only would it provide for a memorable call-back - as these arcs have been doing of late - it's also possible Tien could have improved upon the original Dodonpa and increased its power into a Super Dodonpa like projectile, similar to Cyborg Tao's trump card. Several of these techniques could make the humans invaluable against even the stronger competition if used effectively. What do you guys think? |

Doubt it. We'll probably get maybe one episode alone for Tien and Roshi before they're eliminated. They'll get about as much action as Krillin, maybe less. I wouldn't expect a lot of old techniques to return. |

Potentially if the writers bother. Problem is, why are the humans special? Why can't all of these other alien species from literally 8 whole universes have techniques comparable? How has nobody else thought of hypnosis or a blinding technique or been able to create disks that cut through anything? Why are only our characters capable of that? It made sense with universe 7 because Freeza's men didn't seem like practised martial artists and Cell did have their techniques but why out of all of this abundant space across multiple universes has nobody else got these human techniques or something similar? Seems stupid to me. |

They should know techniques of their own variety, you're right. The Yardratian alone, if his characterisation were properly executed, should have been a walking arsenal of abilities that make the likes of Guldo and Babidi bow their heads in shame. Sadly, most of these characters, thus far, have barely constituted as gimmicky one-hit wonders with only minimal exposure and a shelf life so meagre that they're gone within a matter of minutes after being formally introduced. |
