Ps2 was probably the best solo player console. But as far as playing with friends one of the many Nintendo console is the best in my books.
I've always seen PS as a better multiplayer game and Nintendo more as solo. There are a few good multiplayer games for Nintendo though, such as Smash and Mario Kart.

I feel like Nintendo games hold up significantly better than Sony or Microsoft, but that could be due to the style the games are rendered in rather than the console itself. It's pretty easy to look back on a PS2 game and cringe because that was the best attempt we had at replicating reality in video games at the time, whereas Nintendo has never been about that.

Based on sales, power for the time, video game library, and overall success, I'd say that PS2 takes it. SNES, N64, and heck, even the Gamecube, were still great consoles too.

Today I'd say it goes to the PS4 Pro. Nintendo can't seem to keep up anymore.

Also PC isn't a console but nice try fanbois.
