Piccolo held his own against frost which is an amazing feat. Vegeta needed to turn ssj so that he could one shot frost. Vegeta in his base form should be well above super saiyan God. So this puts piccolo in the realm of ssjg right? Do you think this is ridiculous and not what the writers are intending? Or is this enough evidence for you to say piccolo is strong af? |

I have to fall back into the two base theory for it, I have Piccolo about as strong as ssj2 Gohan from the Cell Games here. |

Piccolo did what he could, simple as that. I don't put him that high, he's not even stronger than Super Perfect Cell imo. The manga dose it better and as Goku said, Piccolo didn't stand a chance. Frost had also lost quite a bit of power according to himself. |

Piccolo admitted to Gohan during their training session in the recent arc that he had been improving himself behind the scenes by a considerable amount. He successfully defeated SSJ2 Gohan and was able to cause his Mystic self to scream out and hunch over in pain from a surprise attack. Before you cite Piccolo kicking Freeza, the difference is that Gohan sustained some damage and was left grimacing for a short while, the same can't be said of Freeza. In the eventual training team match, Base Goku just narrowly endured Piccolo's Chou-Bakuretsu-Maha - an omnidirectional attack that's technically geared towards scale and not precision. I feel like it's safe to conclude that Piccolo surpassed Buu arc Mystic Gohan. Remember, they did train together. Moreover, if Roshi of all people could induce an aura of power emission from Base Goku then I suspect Piccolo to be far stronger. |

I adhere to the two base theory, so for me Mystic Gohan in the Boo arc was 225 000 000 000, ssj2 Gohan here is 15 000 000 000 and Piccolo is 18 000 000 000. Piccolo doesn't train Gohan to have significantly more power in those two hours I don't think, he teaches him how to draw out more of his potential because in the Boo arc he was still subconsciously holding back. |

How strong do you think Gohan was during the Zen Exhibition match compared to his Boo Saga self? |

Difficult to say as he had been training with Piccolo a bit prior. He was still out of practice with no access to his Mystic power, though. We know that for certain. Lavender was going blow for blow with Base Gohan at the time and could only garner an advantage against Super Saiyan through utilisation of his poison. Piccolo just happened to defeat SSJ2 Gohan later on so I believe it may be safe to conclude that Piccolo is stronger than Lavender - all of the Trio de Dangers as we saw them at the Tournament of Power might be debatable. Oddly enough, Piccolo's lone attack in the team battle was successfully resisted by Base Goku whom Gohan, without his distinct Mystic power, was fighting equally against. One implication from this scene might be that Gohan's Base state caught up to Piccolo once again. Alternatively, I would like to believe that the mechanics of the attack, which emphasised omnidirectional coverage and not potency, allowed for Base Goku to endure it. If it had been the Makousen or Masenko, it's possible Goku wouldn't have been able to endure it. Edited by Thiln, Jul 18 2017, 06:42 PM.
