Like, how is a good person defined in this series? For instance, what kind of characters in the show would go to hell? I mean, there seems to be different levels of good and bad in the series seeing as how Vegeta went to hell and Piccolo didn't. And what about Roshi? He isn't really a good person, but would he go to heaven? |

Roshi's a pervert, sure, but he's done plenty of good deeds and means well for the people around him. I'd say Vegeta at some point in the series, probably during the Androids/Cell Saga or so, became good enough to not go to Hell. With Piccolo it happened the moment he started to bond with Gohan, and was legitimately concerned with the little goofball. I think the factors that may come into play with those who go to Hell are: -If you don't care at all about everything wrong you've committed (pretty much any major villain that didn't get redeemed, though the main big 3 from Z, Freeza, Cell and Boo are among the best examples) -If you've mercilessly killed innocents(and enjoyed it, earliest example of this being Tao). -If you were created evil. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

Remember that he said that to Majin Vegeta, and he was pretty much his Saiyan Saga self there. He enjoyed murdering all those innocent people back in the tournament. |

Yeah, Ig that's true. And he was considered a good person after that seeing as how Porunga wished him back to life. |

But at that point Vegeta was fixing to sacrifice himself for his loved ones and had a change of heart about the whole ordeal. |

Babidi had erupted all the evil within Vegeta's heart. He may have had a change of heart, but that doesn't excuse how selfish it was to allow himself to get taken over, and besides and that he was pretty much still just as evil as originally back in the Saiyan Saga, maybe even worse than that. |

Vegeta intentionally let evil take over him and he ended up killing hundreds of people. Pretty hard to redeem yourself after that Good person would probably be defined by goku and gohan. Sure they've made mistakes and let their fighting desire get to them but the heart is more important than the brain know m saiyan? Piccolo is a good example of going from a bad person to good person. From straight up demon to making friends with a kid to helping fight for and save the planet Edited by Ssj3vegito96, Jul 16 2017, 12:41 AM.

A good person would be defined, in my opinion, by Dragon Ball standards to mean well for others and not cause affliction. Vegeta has murdered untold millions of lifeforms throughout the majority of his life. Regardless of whether he repented close to the end of the manga or not, I don't believe some final moment of self-reflection can really mitigate all of the damage he's caused throughout his lifetime. But then again, the Ox King was known to murder many people and he even threatened to kill Goku if he didn't cooperate in helping him reach his castle. I suppose by Dragon Ball standards, redemption can occur no matter how severe your iniquities may have been. |
