If goku was on the other side of the planet then when he sensed where everyone was he wouldn't have said "good they aren't far" I think it was. I think someone somewhere did some crazy calculation to prove it but idk if I buy that. I'm wondering if anyone can prove it though

I'm wondering if anyone can prove it though Unless they moved half-way across the planet during their fight with Freeza, there's no way that's accurate. Remember, they summoned Porunga just a small distance away from Freeza's ship, where Goku was recovering, and we never get the sense that they've moved very far during the fight.

Freeza's fighting Goku's friends near the place where Porunga was summoned, and that wasn't too far from the spaceship with the healing pod Goku was in. Probably not even a kilometer away, even after the fight moved to so many places.
