Is there any scenario where Freeza wouldn't have killed Goku?; Relates to a proposal made by the tyrant back during the Namek arc.

I can't find any reason to disagree with his notion as Freeza had been grossly paranoid about the possibility of a Saiyan rising up with the power to challenge him. The fact Goku fulfilled this portent by brazenly challenging him to combat and holding his own against the tyrant when his most powerful subordinate beforehand only had a power level of 120,000 would have doubtlessly sent signals that this Saiyan could not be allowed to live eventually. However, what I wonder is whether there isn't some kind of compromise that could have been made which may have satisfied Freeza's misgivings about Goku becoming too powerful. What is Freeza most concerned about? Excess power and lack of loyalty. Well what if Goku had been willing to compromise through, say, him purposefully slashing his power level to more acceptable standards such as the hundred thousands? Take a sabbatical to let his power diminish from lack of activity. As leverage, he might even offer an arm or leg to further weaken the threat he could pose to Freeza. Of course, this all hinges on the bizarro world Goku swearing absolute fealty to the intergalactic tyrant. I mean if Freeza was willing to take the time to propose that Vegeta be reinstated into the Planet Trade Organisation, even going as far as to offer him the position as supreme commander of the entire Freeza force, why couldn't he extend the same courtesy to Goku with these kinds of concessions? What are your thoughts? Would Goku have been allowed to survive under Freeza if this warped scenario somehow panned out?

Google Chrome	Freeza would have likely ended up training with Goku or at the very least keeping his guard up around him until he could master final form while keeping him on as short a leash as possible. It'd be a good way to make sure the gulf in their power stays big and we know that it's not implausible in Freeza's mind for final form to be a constant possibility(Mecha Freeza did so, albeit with bionic enhancements). I think Freeza would have ended up killing him at some point anyway though, he's ludicrously unstable and is going to be on a far bigger hair trigger after all the crap that went down on Namek.

Fire Fox	Ya, it is hard to picture it going much different then the Vegeta/Freeza combination, where they seem to be working together, but really are not. I could only imagine Goku trying to suppress Freeza in power and Freeza trying to keep Goku well below him in power, which would eventually end with one turning on the other. Of course, the one major problem Goku would have (in my opinion), compared to Vegeta, would be his inability to suppress his intentions and would more then likely end up facing the Freeza Force much earlier and at a lower power.
