Goku and vegeta base froms is getting weaker and weaker every new arc?

Goku and vegeta base froms is getting weaker and weaker every new arc?; I can't be the only one that thinks this?

How does that make any sense at all? Ssj 3 gotenks > Basil and fat buu So yeah dragon ball super don't know what they want. If you ask me goku and vegeta base forms is getting weaker and weaker every new arc. If they struggle with people like basil and mys gohan what would someone like Ssj vegito do to them? This almost makes future trunks powers even more of a mystery 🤔

It's fair to assume Buu is above the hybrids who have gotten weaker. Trunks couldn't have gotten stronger when. Vegeta tells him he's too weak to fight in the champa arc along with Goten. Also if Gohan can go from weaker than Buu to ultimate level to a rival of blue in less than. 2 days, why can't Basil improve? Basil was so wasted by Buu. Lavender was knocked out by gohan. If Goku can block attacks from Bergamo, Basil and Lavender shouldn't be able to phase Goku and Vegeta because Bergamo is supposed to be significantly stronger than Basil and Lavender. Honestly, this entire series has been the epitome of careless writing. Vegeta gets super duper awesome rage boost because reasons. Freeza undoes all the hard work Goku and Vegeta went through in a matter of 4 months. Trunks finds himself as strong as Super Saiyan 2 Goku after all the training Goku had done up to this point, and then in a single day manages to achieve a power rivaling Super Saiyan Blue. He then gets angry and gets a quasi-god form because reasons. Goku gets a rage boost because reasons. Goku's Kamehameha beats out Merged Zamasu's death ball because reasons. This series just doesn't care anymore, which is frankly why I don't. I don't have a reason to get invested anymore because people get as strong as they need to at the drop of hat, with complete disregard for what Goku and Vegeta have gone through, and even they get their fair share of bull s*** power ups that contradict previously established rules.

To be fair future trunks is still trunks. Kid trunks is pretty OP too so it's not surprising future trunks was able to pull off some amazing feats. Difference is that kid trunks grew up with vegeta. Future trunks didn't have anyone to train with until supreme Kai came around and he started fighting goku black. So learning the containment wave on the spot(anime) and inventing his own upgraded ssj2(manga) is not surprising. He's a tailless hybrid and why goku had so much hope in goten and trunks to be the next heroes because they have amazing potential and future trunks proved it even more Goku overpowered merged zamasu which sounds crazy yeah but this is goku. He's tenacious like that. He just heard how black killed his family. He pulled out so much power past his limits that he broke his arms. Imo people should be giving him credit not complaining about it as if it's some stupid plot hole Everything else is weird though. Mostly vegeta having to block basils punches. The power creep in this show is a joke. Really plot induced which makes it random and takes away from the importance of all the training they go through. It doesn't bother me anymore though. Posts: 3,709 Group: Member Member #11,519 Joined: July 15, 2014	For me the problem is if I implement the two base theory Goku and Vegeta are either vastly stronger than Basil in base or vastly weaker. If Basil can keep up with Boo then their regular bases are no match, if they're using god ki then Basil should be flicked away like nothing.

It would give the impression that the tournament is going to be easy except for a handful of opponents. At least we do have some explanation. Beerus told goku not to go all out and use up stamina against them. And the trio also had amazimg coordination after their fighting history in their s***ty battlefield of a universe Not saying they shouldn't be able to flick them away
