What are some cool characters in the series that honestly, don't get enough attention and probably should get more. I'd say, and these aren't really in order, just order of their appearance: 1. Officer Black- This guy seems a bit underrated, but I think he may be the strongest soldier the RRA has to offer. He had some confidence in himself when he faced off against Goku who had defeated Colonel Silver, Muscle Tower, General Blue, and Mercenary Tao. Obviously he's not on the level of Tao seeing how afraid Black was of Tao, but he definitely could be above Blue. 2. Fortuneteller Baba- I doubt she's really an underrated character, but she was definitely fun when she was introduced and I certaintly forget about her often and how great she was. She played some pretty big parts in Dragon Ball and it's fun to see her back in Dragon Ball Super. I wish we saw more of her and it's too bad that her FUNimation voice was changed in the Buu Arc, that is one of the most disappointing voice changes for me. 3. Spike the Devil Man- I mean yeah, the guy got one shotted by Goku. But still, he seriously is an awesome character. Idk why, but there's just something super likable about him and I love Justin Cook (FUNi) voicing him he does an awesome job. He had some good humor as well in the anime. And a seriously awesome attack, Devilmite Beam. An attack that no one except probably Goku and maybe Gohan and Goten would be immune to. I'm sure there are a couple others I'm not thinking about, but dang. The guy is crazy, he served his purpose as being a milestone Goku had passed since he had one the WMAT twice. 4. Zarbon- Recently I've found Zarbon to be somewhat likable and underrated as a character. His strength was also quite powerful, I love the contrast they have of his normal appearance being the beauty and his monster or super form being the beast. Honestly a very cool character and I feel like he should get more recognition. 5. Jeice and Burter- These two may not be as underrated, but they definitely seem to be the most likable of the Ginyu Force members imo. Jeice especially is pretty cool and together they're an awesome duo. The TFS episodes honestly make me appreciate them even more. Those are the main ones I can think of. After the Frieza Arc there seemed to be less minor characters and more major characters, less and less main antagonists as well. Which is one reason why the human fighters became so irrelevant. I can't really think of any Cell Arc, Buu Arc, GT, or Super characters right now. An honorable mention I suppose could be Dabura. Although I think he gets quite a bit of attention. |

Strongly agree with you on Zarbon, Burter, and Jeice. Zarbon in particular was awesome in the FUNI dub because of his hilariously appropriate voice acting. Come to think of it, FUNI Jeice was the best iteration as well. The Aussie accent gave him, a small side character, a lot of personality imo. I'd also like to throw some love to Dabura, arguably the most underrated character in DBZ in terms of power (I've seen people place him as low as MSSJ Goku from the Cell Games) and one of the most underutilized characters during the Buu saga. The fact that he was given one fight and then used to hype up Majin Buu despite his title as King of the Demon World (another unexplored plot) and the fact that he was stronger than Perfect Cell (who was kind of a big deal) is one of the many reasons the Buu saga was an absolute mess >:( |

Honestly I think Dragonball is the epicenter of characters with untapped potential (power pun not intended). Zarbon and Dodoria are good choices, as well as the obvious human/earthling Z-fighters. Yajirobe as well, and even characters like King Yemma, come to think of it. |

Nail. Nail, Nail, Nail. My absolute favorite character. He was fearless, surprisingly powerful for the time, calm and wise, peaceful, and yet had an incredible raging fire hidden underneath. I mean, not even Frieza could get under his skin. Gahdamn. |

I would have enjoyed some more insight into Gero's machinations and scientific process as he worked tirelessly to come up with the perfect killing machines to unleash on Goku. Why is #16 and 19 present in the main timeline but not the future? How did he obtain the resources and power sources needed to create such potent artificial beings? More specifics here would have been very appreciated. Besides the residential mad scientist, I suppose I would have enjoyed Chaozu's psychic abilities being explored more in depth. Dragon Ball has knack for briefly dabbling on these alternate form fighters but never really developing them long-term. Zamasu is the first villain who's origin style is rooted in these magic abilities. |

Yeah, pretty much. Like many up there said. Yamcha, Tien, Kami, Yajirobe, Nail, the Red Ribbon Army people, Gero, Babidi... Even ANY of the main characters didn't get the attention they deserved by proper writers, and that's because half the time Toriyama was just messing around not knowing what to do besides earning more and more money (and that's still going on). |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

Karin. I think it's a shame we never see him fight, I love the character so much. Taobaibai aswell, I wish he was turned into a full-blown villain. That'd be awesome. |

For me it woulf be a cell jr. We could have had a pretty cool movie between the cell games and buu saga of a full grown cell jr fighting to kill gohan and his family out of revenge for killing his. |

Zarbon and Dodoria, as others have stated, would be my choices. Not only were they fairly well presented, but they opened up a lot of back story with Vegeta and could have filled in a lot of history for the series. To me they were more of a tease about a deeper Vegeta arc then anything. |
