Tamatoa VS Movie Spider-Men

The Lord of the Dark

Tamatoa emerges from the surface and he finds himself in New York's coast. He sees lots of pretty things and decides to crush them into bits to add them to his collection, harming multiple civilians in the process which gets Spidey's attention. Can the humanoid arachnid stop the 50-foot tall decapod?

To get an idea of who Tamatoa is, here's his Disney wiki entry, his musical number, the whole scene, and the respect thread for Maui, his demigod archrival. Ignore his herculean accomplishments, 'cause otherwise this would be quite unfair.

Round 3: TASM2 Spidey
Round 4: MCU Spidey
Round 5: All three Spideys at once show up and join forces to try to stop Tamatoa

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Tamatoa's too slow to ever hit him. Not to mention that he could only take on a weakened Maui, peak Maui tore off his leg and Tamatoa was freaking out at the idea of fighting him. Tamatoa's got no real showing to give him a snowball's chance in Hell.

Did the fishook really amp his power that much beyond granting him the ability to shapeshift? Tamatoa and Maui have been rivals for a while haven't they? I imagine they've had more than one tussle, seeing how he's an incredibly old monster and probably used to be Maui's pal.

I mean, didn't he bust through the side of his cave? Or shake the whole thing in the middle of his musical number (closing whatever thing that was on that opening at the top) multiple times? He can also support his immense weight and jump around, despite being massive, so he's pretty darn strong.

The hook must have given quite the amp since Tamatoa went from s***ting the bed at the idea of fighting him to confidence once more. Tamatoa has known Maui for a while, that's clear, but there's no mention of them being rivals. All we know is that Tamatoa knows Maui's past and that Maui tore his leg off.

Tamatoa can support his weight, but those are on his legs and not on his claws. I suppose it's good enough, but he's not fast enough regardless.

Could just be fear at the idea of fighting something that can change into a zillion different forms and avoid your attacks or sting you with venom and the like. That'd explain why he has no trouble fighting a moderately strong human.
