I can't tell you how much I'm missing the golden outlier events right now such as the latter half of the Vegeta fight, Krillin's potential unlock on Namek, or Piccolo merging with Kami. Granted, the latter two power ups ultimately amounted to nothing. Finding a way to incorporate such things into a final climactic scenario like the Vegeta battle would be a much welcomed change of pace, personally.
This is why I don't watch Super.

Just seems like they sit in a boardroom thinking up new ideas and...

"Where shall we go next with the story?"

"NEW POWERUP"

"Okay, what will be the trigger for the power up?"

"ACTION"

"You're God damn right intern, we don't need to waste time on making a quality story if we can just put different colours on aura's and change hairstyles a bit and tease it as an epic event"


I honestly have no idea why people enjoy the series or at least try to say it's a quality show, watch it for nostalgia sure but wow there's like no emotion or drive behind any of this crap, it's just Terry Crews shouting "POWWERRRRRR!!"
