The new Pirates movie is coming out soon in theaters, next friday to be exact.

According to early reports, the movie has gotten positive reviews so far. I think that's very exciting, especially for norwegian considering the two directors are from Norway.

Are you going to see it? If not, why?

They could make a hundred Pirates of the Caribbean movies and I'd go see all of them.

Im watchin it cuz the directors seem to have been heavily inspired from the 1st & 2nd film (that were classics)

The soul, spirit of those films are visibly evident in this film: DMTNT & if the trailers are of any indication, its popcorn fun

Admittedly, I stopped watchin Pirates of the Carribean ever since Dead Man's Chest, as it was interminably looonggg, & most antics have been stale

In midst of successive films, I completed my studies, found a job, forgot abt Pirates of The Carribean & Jack Sparrow in fact

It wasnt until few months back I watched trailers of this film which actually rekindled my interest on both Jack as well as Pirates!!!

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I saw the trailer when I was watching Guardians of the Galaxy and it actually piqued my interest. I really enjoyed the original trilogy, but never bothered with the fourth film. Might see this one at some point after I've seen Alien & King Arthur, if it's still in the cinema by that point.

Definitely, it'll be cool to see Will Turner in the movies again finally. I heard this is the last movie though, it's about time but it's also too bad. I could definitely go for more of these movies.

I don't know much about this one, but the third was disgustingly bad and I didn't even bother with the fourth. Maybe this will be better?

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I just watched a review and apparently it's pretty meh. Ton of useless crap in it and it gets heaps of stuff wrong.

As much as I liked the first and fairly enjoyed the third I don't see why this movie needs to exist. There is nothing interesting left to say in this universe.

Some kind of sequel series set 100 years later or whatever would be cool. So long as they didn't shoehorn Johnny Depp in to it needlessly.

Some of Jack Sparrow's origin is featured in this movie which I find interesting. And I feel like I have to watch it, considering the two norwegian directors.

I think even if I don't see this, I might buy the original trilogy and rewatch them. I'm sure I can pick it up cheap and I haven't seen any of them in years.

Initially it had positive reviews, but most recently it has gotten worse and worse. They say it's still not as bad as 'On Stranger Tides', but still lacks the magic of the first film, yet at the same time feels too familiar.

I really loved it. I felt a couple of plot elements were underused but it was excellent other than that.

I thought it was great. Way better than the 4th one but not better than the original trilogy obviously.

I've only seen the first 3 movies. I'm not sure how many more there are but they didn't catch my attention. I also like the ending of depicted in the 3rd movie and I'm really not interested in the story going beyond that point.

That's a pretty odd combo, considering the third movie sorta leaves off with a cliffhanger

Yeah it's just that the ending in the 3rd movie was good enough for me. I felt that the story has gone on long enough and I as satisfied. I've done this with other movies, once I'm happy with the ending, I just stop watching.
