Naruto disgraced "backstory"resorting to trashy "flashbacks" right in da middle of filler episode, in da middle of forest fight, in the middle of Exams, Rescue Missions, Fart mission whatnot accompanied by tons of tears flowing like Nile river, the word "Nakama" popping 20 times in 2 min scene all dat crap It has altogether left a bad taste whenevr I come across "backstory". What about backstories done efficiently. Try keeping it Spoiler-Free but include Ep number if possible 1. Netero's BS (HXH2011) Ep 111 MadHouse is known for their high-fi scene rendition & Netero's backstory was done full justice as each scene in the Anime actually enchanced Togashi's work. Some would even argue Ep 111 as most beautiful HXH2011 Episode & it wouldnt be an exxageration as the storyboaders smartly infused Netero's backstory right in the middle of an epic massacre he was about to unleash. 2. Hohenheim's BS (FMAB 2009) Ep 40 This uncle was generic traveler devoid of any facial expression & felt he would be better off killed. It was only after his BS did I realize the weight of his character & BONES gave a harrowingly dark Roman-Spartian ancient feel throughout his backstory which was.....effective 3. Switch's BS (Sket Dance) Ep 24 & 25 Its one of those times when an average routine, comic show decides to shed some light on one of its least appealing, interesting, hell NON-COMMUNICATING dude & when you realize it leaves a lump in your throat & pain in your heart so much that you'll hang your head in embarassment when you think if you had once been proud of so-called backstories of fav shoune characters. Switch's BS was one of those things dat'll make you think not ONCE but TWICE about decisions in life & being appreciative of even simplest gestures by peoples close to us, since no one will be there forever for us
