I don't own a wiiU or a switch but I eventually want to play breath of the wild. Would you say it's smarter to get a wiiU or switch? |

Wii-U I'd say unless you plan to wait a really long time. If you're not interested in any other Nintendo games then the cheapest option is Wii-U naturally but you might want to wait and see if anything that comes out for the Switch catches your interest. Maybe you could get one around Christmas with some other games that are out. There's not much to see for it right now and won't be for a while. I definitely wouldn't just get a Switch for Zelda anyway, it's good but it's not that good. No game is worth $300+. |

Yeah. I'm thinking it's best to wait it out and see if there's any news for the switch I want to play Zelda so badly though haha And here's the thing. No stores have new wiiUs anymore and a used one is like $250 so they're kind of expensive still So is it a waste to get a wiiU? Chances are the switch is going to have more and better games right? |

Yeah the Wii-U is probably fairly dead at this point so unless there are other titles you would really just be buying it for one game still. Unless you could rent or borrow one? Might be a better option if it's truly just Zelda you're after. |

You can always buy a Wii U used on other markets, such as ebay. I'm sure you can find some for $100-150. |

That was my first plan but believe it or not even a used wiiU in decent condition is around $250 |

Well if you only really want it for Zelda does it need to be in good condition? So long as it works I guess people might have hiked the price up as if it's a vintage console now that the Switch is out. |

Since you don't have either I'd reccomend a Switch. I don't know what kind of Nintendo games you're into, but there'll be some good releases coming out for it. A couple Fire Emblem games I know, one similar to Hyrule Warriors if you've played that. |
