Hello DBZF. About 6 Months ago, I made a post here asking which version of Z I should watch. On the advice of several members here, I ended up watching DBZ Kai, and I've really been enjoying it. However, as of typing this, I am on episode 84, and soon I'll be finished with the Cell Saga. I'm currently weighing my options for how to watch the Buu Saga. As far as I know, these are my options:

-The DBZ Kai Version (which is currently being dubbed, with the first 1/3 of the episodes being released on Blu-Ray in April, the second third in May, and presumably the third part in June.)
-The Original DBZ dub, starting at episode 200
-The Japanese Version

I'm trying to decide if I should be patient and wait for the entirety of the Buu Kai dub to finish being released, or watch one of the other two options so I can move into DBS sooner. Thoughts?

Keep watching Kai.

If you don't want to wait for the dub to get released in Blu-Ray, watch the japanese version.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

The rule of thumb here is "avoid the English dub of Z." So for the Boo arc, I'd say go with Japanese Z or wait for the Kai Final Chapters release if you want to watch in English.

But then he'd miss out on Lord Bruce's music. Posted Image

Z anime is fine, but expect a lot of bad filler.

Glad you're enjoying it

Don't watch the original. It drags a lot compared to Kai and there are some errors in the English dub. Continue with Kai. Japanese buu saga is done but the English dub is still running if you don't mind waiting for new episodes

Choose whichever one has the least amount of filler and most accurate script.

Watch the original Z in Japanese with subs or Kai's dub for the best experience, in my opinion. I dislike the original dub of Z for it's bad scripts and overplayed music.

I wonder how funimation is going to handle all of majin vegeta's speeches. They were really badass in the original. I hope it can live up to it or almost live up to it

My favorite is the FUNimation dub of the original DBZ. Kai annoys me more with the voice acting, so if you watch Kai I'd watch the subbed version. If you do watch the original DBZ I'd skip through some filler, most of it is trash.

The filler where Goku and Vegeta do better versus Gohan-Boo than Gohan did against Gotenks-Boo. Posted Image

Don't forget them taking on SSj3 Gotenks and Gohan in Boo's head. That's the ultimate filler.
