For me, I think it's what happened to the X-Men in Days of Future Past from the Sentinels. Especially Colossus, Iceman and Warpath.

Yeah those Sentinels were pretty badass.

It's hard to find any good ones because comic book movies censor a lot of stuff, but if it's only live-action, I'll go with that one gamma puppy from the 2003 Hulk movie who got his jaw dislocated (and died iirc) when it bit Hulk's shoulder which expanded the moment he got mad. I can think of a few others when it comes to animation.

I still find Joker's kills in Mask of the Phantasm very grim and disturbing.

(I know he actually doesn't die, but anyone who saw this scene thought he did, and the other thug's death is just as creepy)

Not exactly brutal but for this Joker, it really is, because he was VERY underwhelming in most of DCAU, doing very little that could be considered relevant nor frightening, the only times being in MotP and RotJ. Oh yeah, the deaths in Return of the Joker were also pretty creepy. He was so silly and comedic in the cartoons, yet in the movies he makes Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson's Jokers look like pansies. Well, maybe not Jack but definetely Ledger.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Like...half the deaths from Watchmen.

Dr. Manhattan's first "death" was pretty horrific, as is Rorschach's and practically everyone he murders.

Perhaps an unfair example but they come to mind. People exploding n s***.

Nah, if it'd gone full Evil Dead the tentacles would've done much worse to those poor people.

Evil Dead 1 = Tentacle abuse....not cool hah.

In terms of brutal: any of the deaths in Watchmen/300, X-men DOFP, The Professor X scene in X-men 3, The reptile lady in The Wolverine.....and probably something out of Blade. Oh, and everything in Logan also.

i honestly can't think of much else.

TREE tentacle abuse, which is even worse. You may love nature, but nature doesn't love back!
