Those few names that have been confirmed were done so with full legality. Let's not assume the FBI is so foolish as to torpedo their own investigations.

They weren't surveilling Trump. They were surveilling other people through legally obtained FISA warrants and part of their communications were with Trump. It doesn't at all back up Trump's claims that Obama was wiretapping him. I'm sure Nunes thought he was defending Trump by revealing this but what he's actually done is show that Trump was in contact with people under investigation, which doesn't look good on him and lends more credence to claims that he was colluding with a foreign power.
