It truly was a Shawshank redemption

What's everyone think about this decision? I can completely see why given the very real possibility of relegation this season, but this is a bad move. The only reason they're even in a position to see relegation as catastrophic enough to sack him is because he won the god damn league last year. Something that phenomenal should make him untouchable for 5 years minimum. Plus, there's still time for him to turn it around and they still have a decent shot at making the last 8 in the Champions League. |

"Then you've got the chance to do better next time." "Next time?" "Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is." | |

I don't think Ranieri would've been able to turn the tides, honestly. It was a good decision if they have someone in mind already, but if they are only now looking for replacements, it's a bold move. They need the right man for the job. But this is so typical Ranieri. He always starts brilliantly in a job and after months or maybe even a season it starts going downhill. Not blaming just him of course, but there's a trend. |

Leve Feyenoord 1!

He will forever be the manager that made a relegation candidate champion and then got sacked a year later. I don't get the decision either. |

Pathetic decision. The players and the club have let a good manager down. There is only so much that he can do to motivate the team and he clearly had the skill to motivate and win the league last year against all odds. He has proven he can do it and so the blame here lies with the players and their poor performances. The Leicester City board need their heads tested too. Any owner of a football club would give their left arm to have a premier league winning manager with a CV like Ranieri. Not many teams have won the premier league and it is not likely that a lot of them will any time soon. They lived a dream because of his leadership and experience and they've just thrown it back in his face. He deserves better. |
