What changes would you make to improve the RoF arc?

Other than obvious ones like improving animation or deleting the arc outright.

- Space out the four-month gap with Freeza's training into a full episode or two. Actually show Freeza going through rigorous training, maybe a flashback with Beerus showing him the pecking order. Some more Goku and Vegeta training with Whis. Flesh Jaco out and show some of his history with Bulma and Tights.

- Have Tagoma simply kill Shisami without Going being bearhugged for collateral damage.

- Freeza teleports to SSJ Gohan after he beats Ginyu-Tagoma, gut-punches him then teleports back to his chair, just like the movie except here Gohan is SSJ. Piccolo quickly revives him.

- Goku locks on to Freeza's ki instead of slenderman-Gohan.

- Piccolo doesn't die.

- Goku and Freeza fight through each of their forms for a bit. Base vs first form, SSJ vs second, SSJ2 vs third, SSJ3 (let's say Goku mastered it) vs fourth. Yes this would obliterate multipliers but just explain by saying Freeza was able to get more out of each form thanks to his training or something. Idk not that important.

- Like the movie, Goku almost immediately notices Freeza's stamina problem instead of Vegeta practically having to draw it out on a chalkboard.

- No time reversal because Freeza doesn't blow up the planet. After going back to fourth form, he raises his fist to attempt one last strike at SSJB Vegeta but realizes it's pointless. He starts lowering his hand back toward the ground preparing to destroy Earth. Move to a slow-mo reaction shot of Goku or something, cut back to a closeup of Freeza's hand and just before it reaches the ground, Vegeta's foot comes into frame, stomps down on the hand and breaks it all the pieces. Freeza looks up in horror, Vegeta doesn't say a word and obliterates him. Goodbye. It doesn't always have to be overly dramatic.

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

I really think that Freeza being a lot more ambiguous as to what happened would have been best. Instead of trying to fit it into the timeline somehow, Freeza should have left the amount of time from his resurrection (and training) to his return to earth open to speculation. We obviously would have a timeframe for when it occurred, but, it could be up to a year for all we know. At least longer than four months.

Also either be more or less vague about his training conditions as well. Either specify it to the point that Freeza's insane gains - no matter how long it took him to make them - were justifiable given the intense conditions he was always under. Tagoma as well potentially. Or keep it completely vague - Freeza won't share how and all we know is Tagoma is ridiculously strong because he was part of Freeza's training. Not that he was basically the sole object of Freeza's wrath for four months, that's pretty... meh.

Also, maybe a little bit more clarity on how Vegeta achieved SSjB from Whis or something? Rather than Goku's vague comment about how he did it all on his own. Also, perhaps more of Golden Freeza vs. Vegeta.

The fight was essentially Base Goku outdoing Freeza the entire way - then the reveal of Golden Freeza and SSjB Goku. Then Freeza had the edge for awhile - then he started to lose it. Then Goku nearly died. By the time Vegeta got to actually fight Golden Freeza, he was beaten to hell and within a few exchanges he had even lost the transformation. Goku was so competitive he gave a senzu to Cell. Why would Vegeta be satisfied with killing the dog that Kakarrot beat down in front of him? Even if Vegeta loathed Freeza.

Gohan also isn't quite as pathetic when it comes to simply activating Super Saiyan. More things like that. Continuity fixes - wherever possible. Perhaps buff some of the fighters like Tenshinhan and Muten Roshi a bit and explain why/how. That would explain Muten Roshi's sudden ability to help fight an army and would raise Tenshinhan's potential through the roof. He'd be the only consistently training human since the original Dragonball.

Also yes, no Whis ex Machina please. Let it seem like Freeza is about to do it... really hint at it. And then Vegeta stomps him out and wrecks him. Vegeta deserved this kill.

Art and animation quality needs to be improved

Fight scene with goku and Frieza should be better. The one inch should be in it. Idk which nutcase decided to take that out

I think Frieza should still blow up the planet. Otherwise it's just too easy with vegeta kicking the crap out of him and vaporizing him being the end of it. Frieza blowing up the planet has shock value. I would want vegeta to be the one to beat Frieza instead of goku though

Gotenks should be more useful

Gohan shouldn't be so weak and he should get a decent fight with first form Frieza

Other than that I think it's ok

I have notes for a Super rewrite that will probably never see the light of day, and here's the important Freeza-arc points:

- Freeza regenerates into his final form, since that's actually his true one and the one he was killed in, rather than into his most-suppressed form and... already wearing armor for some reason.
- Freeza trains for six months rather than just four. No specific reason, just seems less random.
- Goku and Vegeta spend that same six months off training under Whis and learning how to use godly ki, so the big battle serves to compare how they and Freeza progressed.
- Bra is conceived sometime after the Battle of Gods arc but before Vegeta takes off to train, and he's surprised to see Bulma very pregnant when they return. Hence Bra is definitely born the year she should be instead of maybe barely so.
- No filler-borne waste-of-time garbage with frog-Ginyu. Instead, Tagoma and Shisami will have trained with Freeza, gained a lot of power from it, and gang up on Piccolo until still-Ultimate Gohan swoops in and easily takes 'em out.
- I've bounced around ideas where instead of being Freeza soldiers from the start, Shisami and/or Tagoma were already-powerful leaders of an opposing faction, who are quickly intimidated and "hired" once Freeza himself returns.
- Gohan is the one to force Freeza into his true form and hold him off in an uphill fight until Goku and Vegeta arrive. Gohan and Freeza's massive clashing powers is what Goku senses to teleport back to Earth.
- Goten and Trunks show up and try to use Fusion to help Gohan, but mess up the Fusion Dance because of their current growth spurts throwing off their coordination. Skinny Gotenks is no help at all and Gohan is in trouble until Goku and Vegeta arrive.
- Freeza and Beerus' backstory would be tweaked. Beerus did not specifically order Freeza to destroy Planet Vegeta. Instead, witnessing Beerus' power simply made Freeza paranoid of others who might become stronger than him and overthrow him... like a Super Saiyan.
- Freeza might be trying to show off and impress Beerus for some reason or another by fighting Goku and Vegeta.
- Freeza's new Golden form would get a redesign. Heck, I've already done sketches.
- I'd come up with SOME explanation or alternative to Goku being downed by a ring-laser. I just don't know what yet.
- Freeza does get desperate after being beaten by SSB Vegeta and blows up Earth, and Whis does rewind time to undo it, but Goku does not steal the kill. He teleports over and kicks Freeza away at the last second or something, but Vegeta still gets the finishing blast because he deserves it, damnit!

Show Frieza's training
Show Vegeta and Goku's training
Get rid of that awful Gohan and Piccolo scene
Frieza (first form) shows off his new power by flat out killing Fat Buu in front of everyone
Gotanks gets to fight Frieza at SSJ 3 and gets beat
Gohan gets one shot in the chest like in the moive, not like that weird scene in Super
Make the fight between Vegeta and Frieza last longer. Vegeta owes him a lot of pain
Get rid of that awful Ginyu sub plot
Flashback of Beerus nearly killing Frieza
Keep the line in the movie about Beerus giving Frieza the green light to destroy planet Vegeta
Make it more than 4 months between Frieza coming back to life and coming to Earth. Maybe a full year.

-Don't have Gohan lose Potential Unleashed, that really doesn't make sense.
-Have Gohan have a real fight against Frieza, possibly only First Form.
-Have Yamcha and Chiaotzu there or take out Roshi.
-Don't have Piccolo die, the scene they had was emotionless.

- Gohan would be the benchmark for Freeza's new level of power. He'd still have his Ultimate power, having trained back to his peak power after the encounter with Beerus. He'd power up and Freeza wouldn't even bother with his 1st and 2nd forms; he'd skip to his 3rd form and size up Gohan ala Boo V Gohan, and then they'd fight in a close battle (with Gohan still having the advantage power-wise). Freeza would resort to his true form, and even though he'd be stronger by a noticeable amount, Gohan would continue fighting valiantly until Goku and Vegeta arrive, this being the battle they sensed for Instant Transmission to work.
- Piccolo doesn't die. What an unnecessary scene.
- I like the idea of Freeza obliterating Majin Boo in only his first form. Let's roll with that.
- Gotenks doesn't make an appearance because the boys have gotten rusty. I like that idea too.
- And of course, Goku doesn't steal the kill at the end. Vegeta stops Freeza from hitting the planet, and then literally rips his spine out Yautja style.

Can't believe I didn't mention it, but ditto on this. What a completely pointless waste of time that was.

1) Add Chiaotzu to the group. And Yamcha too.
2) Don't show Goten and Trunks. Give some fight to Chiaotzu and Yamcha
3) Piccolo fights and defeats Tagoma after an hard fight
5) The humans gangbang and defeat Shisami
6) Gohan is able to give 1st form frieza a good fight using ssj2,but once Frieza goes to 2nd form he is done for
7) Goku intervenes. Frieza goes GoldFrieza. Less talk and more action
8) Instead of having Sorbet shoot Goku, have Sorbet distracting him in some way (like taking Bulma as an hostage) and while Goku is distracted Frieza seizes the moment and backstabs him.
10) Give Vegeta some more time to beat Frieza. He deserves it
11) The rest is ok,but i would also add
12)Change that 4 month long training in a 4 years long training. Like Frieza is ressurected just weeks/months after Kid Buu's defeat and comes back 4 years later after intense training.

5) The humans gangbang and defeat Shisami
Y'know, this is a good idea. Maybe I'd shuffle things around a bit with those fights... instead of either Shisami and/or Tagoma magically jumping up to Perfect Cell level and being a challenge for Piccolo, I'd keep them "weak" enough to be a match for the Earthlings instead.

So Kuririn and Tenshinhan take down Shisami and Tagoma in an impressive 2-on-2 fight. With his two strongest men taken out, Freeza himself finally joins the battle. Piccolo fights 1st-form Freeza and is outclassed until Gohan steps in to help him. Gohan forces Freeza into his true form, and then things progress from there as I already described.

I mean, Freeza's training time isn't an issue at all. 4 months, 6 months or 4 years, the gains are still absolutely ridiculous and don't make any sense.

滅Are you frightened?

Revival of Frieza saga:
-Vegeta is found training on Beerus' planet with Goku, both in base.
-Goku compliments Vegeta's growth, Vegeta himself says its most to do with his time in the God Chamber that Whis took him and trained for what felt like 1 year even though only 9 months have passed.
-Sorbet revived Frieza and after learning that Goku defeated Majin Buu [Kid], he along with Shisami and Tagoma (both having a battle power surpassing Ginyu's: 495k and 500k respectively), train with Frieza to increase his most restricted form, surpassed even Majin Buu's expected level.
-Piccolo informs the others of Frieza's return that is expected to be soon.
-Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha and Roshi are all present. Jaco also still appears. Roshi asking Gohan if he's been training, Gohan has managed to but isn't as strong. Bulma also comes.
-Shisami offers to crush the weaklings after heroes best the Frieza's 1,000 men with ease, barring Roshi who had assistance from Krillin.
-Tagoma suggest he have at it surprisingly, stroking Shasami's ego.
-Piccolo states, he may look like a brute but his battle power is stupendously large.
-Tien, Piccolo, and Krillin all attack at once but Shisami is too fast for them to track. He counterattacks the heroes, downing them all except for Piccolo. Gohan goes to help Krillin and Tien up, noticing Tagoma is relaxed.
-Piccolo removes his weights and calls Shisami slow and if he wants to see real speed, then come get it, Shisami obliges cockily, but is down by a single blow, shocking Sorbet. Frieza is laughing.
-Tagoma, extremely quickly, blindsides Piccolo and blasts him near the heart, mortally wounding him. Gohan screams Piccolo's name while Tagoma, mocks Shisami and kills him to Sorbet and Frieza's shock.
-Tagoma is mentally warped to the psych Frieza displayed during the Namek saga, summarizing that Lord Frieza gave him a gift and that imbeciles needs to be eliminated from the Planet Trade Organization.
-Gohan goes Super Saiyan and challenges Tagoma, both are nearly even with Gohan holding the edge due to combat experience and the recent image training he received. Finally getting an opening, Gohan manages to knock Tagoma out.
-Frieza, emotionally paranoid, instantly transforms to his Final form killing his soldiers.
-He manages to pick apart Gohan, even as a Super Saiyan, with only 50% of his maximum power.
-Bulma lures Whis with ice cream to tell him they need Goku and Vegeta's help to deal with Frieza's increased strength. Vegeta says that he can't sense them from there as they're in a Godly nebula on the far region of the universe and Whis will be there in about 26 minutes.
-Gohan hears Bulma state they're doomed if he can't put out enough energy. Gohan doubt's he's that strong but thanks to King Kai's intervention, using his telepathy, he syncs Gohan to Goku, who tells him he knows he can do it, believe in yourself and everyone on earth that's counting on you. Gohan manages to tap into his inner reserves and briefly turns into a Super Saiyan 2 "Fully Powered" and that instant Goku and Vegeta arrived on the battlefield, leaving Beerus and Whis, who were deciding to go at there own pace.
-Goku and Vegeta assess the situation and noted that Frieza's ki is even more impressive then his previous Super Saiyan God limit. Vegeta after making sure Bulma and the others healed, flew into the sky and killed Tagoma who was trying to escape in Frieza's ship, Frieza himself laughs at his weakness but that same weakness allowed him to garden power to finally crush the Super Saiyan.
-Goku asks Vegeta if he can have at it, to which Vegeta says fine too.
-Goku powers up to his full power in base. Gohan after being healed, noted his father's strength had become even heavier then before after he merged with the Super Saiyan God's power.
-Goku held the advantage quite handily, to the point Frieza resorted to using his Supernova attack to reduce Earth to ashes, yet Goku's nonchalant Kamehameha easily engulfs that and hits Frieza, despite himself being serious.
-Though he's taken considerable damage just now, Frieza laughs, hinting Goku in on what he expected.
-Frieza says that his new transformation will be more then enough to topple Goku, saying he knows he defeated Majin Buu. Goku calls his bluff but Frieza says he'll prove it if he becomes a Super Saiyan so he could crush that version of him.
-Goku inwardly decides to take it further by becoming a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Vegeta looks on as to why he's using that state even though he was already far stronger.
-Piccolo and the others note that Goku's ki was unsensible Noe, meaning he's using God ki.
-Frieza is taken aback but Goku explains it as usual, and demanded that Frieza show him his ace in the hole.

"I am the bone of my sword."

How it would be ultimately done I don't know, but for one, take away Whis "Time Powers." and have Freeza, blow the Earth as he does, taking out both Goku and Vegeta in a last ditch effort, also dying in the process. The Earth is gone and for sake of things they can't use Namek's balls for a while. Who knows, maybe the Namekians used an earlier wish for something.

Either way, we can lead into the "U6 Saga" but this time, Goku and Vegeta aren't around, it's up to Gohan, Picolo and the rest to go through this tournament, perhaps get the Super Dragon Balls and use this time to wish the Earth back and eventually Goku and Vegeta. It would be a great time to let the spotlight hogging squad that is Goku and Vegeta be taken out of the picture for a bit and let the other characters shine.

At the very least, take Goku out.
